clomid success?

Hi, im on my second month of 50g clomid hoping it works this time, i have been trying to become pregnant for 2 years now i already have a 3 year old daughter and they are not sure why im struggling to become pregnant again. I would love to hear some good news about clomid i dont think i can take anymore negative tests :( The hospital have only given me 3 months of 50g and said if it does not work they wont give me anymore! so i dont no what they do next. i havent really had many side effects from it just headaches. If anyone can let me know there experience that would be great thanks

Thankyou! I wish I could fast forward to next week so I can take a test. But last night I started feeling crampy, as if it was going to be the start of my period, but I've looked on other forums and people are saying it could be implantation cramps?? Has anyone else experienced this?
How far into the chlomid are you fingerscrossed? Are you having any side effects? I felt pain in both sides of my stomach. I know some of the effects were to feel pain in the ovaries as when you ovulate they swell. I also had a few headaches but nothing major.

Well,.after feeling really excited about blood results I am now absolutely gutted. Those cramp feelings were the start of my period. So I will be starting the 2nd round of chlomid tomorrow. Strange how my periods are so irregular and I can never tell when they are going to start but now they have cone earlier than ever (day 26) and the cramps are unreal!

Sorry to hear your news kerrylou , the disappointment is crushing, but ding ding! Round two and come out fighting - this could be your month! But hugs, cos I know it's horrid.

I got my day 21 progesterone results today which were 36.7, nowhere near as high as some but miles better than my usual 0.2 so I,m trying p think positive!

Clomid makes your cycle no longer that 35 days normally so fingers crossed for you, glad to see new people posting and wishing everyone the best of luck for this month xxx

I was ttc for 3 years with my hubby, I connived after 7 rounds of 50mg clomid in 11 months don't feel discouraged and when I did find out I was pregnant this time I had no idea I thought I was getting my period had two lots of really bad cramps a few days apart but then no bleeding, I was so surprised to see a positive test but I'm 11 1/2 weeks now and have my first scan on the 5th so fingers crossed its all ok. I know the waiting is the worst and every time someone tells you they are pregnant you want to hit them ( well I did anyways) but try to focus on anything other than what day your on, I know it's easer said than done but I had just about given up hope and there it was. I hope you all don't have to wait as long as I did, I'm happy to help if I can I know how hard it is to find people who understand what it's like so feel free to ask any questions. You're absolutely right, round two here I come! The cramps in having are so strong, I never normally have any pain at all, and for only being the second day its quite heavy.

Iv taken my first round of clomid starting the 20th July and luckily not had any side effects that I know off yet xxx (I was really worrying about that!) so jut got to keep busy and fingers crossed xxx

Cant believe you are already 11wks +. I did not take clomid this cycle as i will not be together wit dh because of my school exam which ll start on monday. I decided to give clomid a break till when i'm ready to spend time together with my dh. I wish everyone the best.

Totally agree with everything Sarah's said, it is easier said than done but trying to forge what day it is is honestly the best way to keep your sanity. It worked for me on 2nd month of clomid so keep going and don't be disheartened kerrylou. My period changed on clomid, cramps were worse and cycle got a couple of days longer, all ordinary effects.bouncingbelle - that prog result is really good, especially from what is was, mine went from being 27 to 47 on clomid and I conceived, anything above 25 or 30 depending on what clinic are advising is what you want so def think positive :)
Mega exciting and good luck for your scan Sarah, I'm waiting for my 12 wk scan date, We had an 8 wk scan last Monday and saw a teeny tiny heartbeat which was fab, especially as the only side effects I've got are weeng loads and sore bigger boobs so its nice to see there was something in there and it wasn't in my head haha! Hoping ill get away without sickness as I have this far!!

My results were 133, compared to the usual 2.1, what does that mean, that I'm producing loads of eggs and will end up with quads? Haha
It's a possibility for twins as my partner has twin girls already and there are 2 lots of twins on ny side of the family!

Hi ladies hope u dont mind me joining in im on my first round of clomid on cd 17 now i think i ov on fri cd 15. I had to take 100mg on cd2-6. Been ttc for 11 months. Reading these posts have given me hope that maybe i wil get my bfp

Hiya ladies i am in first first try on clomid. They worked well for me but didnt ovulate till my 20th day of my cycle is there still chances i cud get pregnant.

I had really irregular periods, sometimes with months in between. I had one round of clomid, a trigger shot mid cycle, and am now 10 weeks pregnant! Had a scan on Friday and heard heartbeat. Keep positive!

Oh, and cycle was 35 days with ovulation about day 20.

Congrats gatsby seein posts like urs really gives me hope i hav irregular periods to. Ive read about the trigger shot but my gyne hasnt mentioned it to me if clomid dosent work this cycle im goin to ask him about trigger shot nx month x

Hi candy queen, it doesn't matter that you ovulated later than most people do, just that you ovulated so that's great.
Kerrylou, I don't think the prog result has anything to do with how many eggs you produced that month, it relates to your lining though and if its too low it could mean that conception occurs but the lining is too for an embryo to implant and a pregnancy to be sustained. I was convinced this is what was happening with me even tho the NHS said no my prog results of 27 were fine, then 2nd month of clomid my prog rockets, so as a result my lining will have been thicker and better quality and hey presto I got up the duff! ;)
What dosage of clomid are you on, and are they giving you a scan mid cycle to see if there's an egg - or four! - there??

I should add my acupuncturist said a private clinic wants prog results to be over 30 which is also what the NHS used to say, then they lowed it to 25 for some reason..

hi ladies. im super happy i got my 21 day bloods progestrone back and its gone from 2.1 to 90!!!. that is good right??

fingerscrossed.. clomid is great. im keeping expectations low and no symptom spoting. the only thing im doing is temp and its high 98.5!

Hi shameless. Congratulations! How far gone are you?
I am onto my 2nd round of chlomid now, on 50mg. My doctor told me if it didn't work he would up the dose to 150mg, but by the results it shows it is working! I'll have to go back for my 21 day blood test on the 14th August. But no, no scans? Does everyone go for one?x

I really need some advice and support at the moment. Finished month 3 of clomid last week so have 3 more months to go. The trouble is I am losing hope more and more each day as my partner becomes more and more difficult about having sex. He wants children as much as me but because the hospital told us both that we need to dtd at least 3 times a week he has to be stubborn (he hates people telling him what to do) so we may have it once a week if im lucky. He is the most stubborn man imaginable and it is breaking my heart because I feel that we are wasting precious time, with only 3 months of clomid left to go. I guess I just need some moral support because at the moment I just can't see a way that I will ever conceive??

i have ttc naturally for 2yrs + with no success...recently got all my test done everything came out ok.My doctor put me on clomid first month with 50mg GOD willingly got pregnant first month .Now im two month pregnant but still in shock.So i say stay positive...
