Really should go to bed now as DS has been waking at 5am lately But am thinking of taking laptop upstairs (something I never usually do) so that when if DS wakes in the night I can get an update. DH will be mightily unimpressed, though.

This reminds me of a few years ago when someone got held hostage at knife point in the house behind mine. I was out when it kicked off so the armed police were in my neighbours room aiming at the house.

The police cordoned off the area and I couldn't get home. I seem to recall calling them as I was worried about my guinea pigs who needed feeding .

I'm off to bed now too; every night for the past week dp has been saying "they'll have him by the morning" andfinally it seems that he might be right!

We never say good bye to Dp when he goes to work it is always 'be good' Good bye is to awful a prospect. The longer this goes on the harder it will be for their families as they sit and wait

they were saying there are more police ready to take over though, so it won't be the same lot there continually. that's one thing they have over him, he'll be getting tired and hungry, but their officers will be replaced at some point with refreshed ones

Can they/will they replace the negotiator ? he is the one who will be trying to build up a rapport with Moat, will Moat accept someone else or will moving some one else in that close to him cause problems
