I love Sues hair and eye shaddow - wondering how her police hat fits with her hair or if she has a custom made one. I have a teeny crush on the DI

I wonder how they got the info about public being at risk too. Where the hell has he gone. Whats he doing anyway? Surely if his plan was to kill police he would have been better doing it right away now he has hundreds of armed police/army walking around so no chance. What the hell is he up to.

AngeChica · 08/07/2010 20:36

respect is due to Sue for getting to such a position in predominantly sexist world of the police force.

Poshwellies · 08/07/2010 20:38

It wouldn't of took much brain cells to organise that camp as a set up (the 2 men could of set that up leaving the letter etc) ,leaving the fugative to get away in a different car/area with the help of more of his lowlife mates.

I find it unbelievable that there's a massive % of the armed police up in that area hunting down one sole gunman.

Let's hope there isn't a sudden massive incident within the rest of uk.

Poshwellies · 08/07/2010 20:40

Sue has deffo got the 80's gene hunt era correct.

PictureThis · 08/07/2010 22:06

I'm finding Sue's look rather distracting from the actual news report. The hair appears to be defying gravity

juneybean · 08/07/2010 22:06

I reckon he's still in Tyneside too Laugs

P.s. how are you?? still going to the library these days? lol

Kaloki · 09/07/2010 01:39

poshwellies It's understandable that they are using every available resource to track this lone gunman down. The memory of Derrick Bird is pretty fresh in their minds I'd have thought.

hollyoaks · 09/07/2010 07:56

OMG his mates are out on bail!!!!!!! They live near me, glad I'm going on holiday tomorrow

AngeChica · 09/07/2010 08:39

The Guardian says the first 2 have been remanded in custody Hollyoaks, not sure about the other 2? enjoy your hols ... 2 weeks til we go camping.

StealthPolarBear · 09/07/2010 08:45

yes two are out on bail, i heard

I hope they catch him soon, I just feel so on edge

Meglet · 09/07/2010 08:59

I'm at the other end of the country and even I keep wondering where he is going to appear next. I refuse to beleive he's just pottering about in the Rotherby area.

His dodgy mates have probably got him miles away by now.

hollyoaks · 09/07/2010 09:15

Thanks Ange, hopefully he won't decide to have a break at centre parcs.

What 2 other men, I just heard about the man from Blyth and the other from Dudley

Laugs · 09/07/2010 09:35

Hi Juney! I'm fine thanks, you? Still going to the library. I think it is closing soon for refurbishment - I will be lost! Hope you're new job's going well. Are you planning to go back to your old charge after the year is up?

So are there helicopters elsewhere? We had at least 3 yesterday and another this morning. Don't know if they're all over or if I should start getting concerned!

LaDiDaDi · 09/07/2010 09:43

None here.

Hope he's not at Saltwell Park on Tuesday. I'm sure we'd be able to fend him off with our books .

StealthPolarBear · 09/07/2010 09:46

well even if he's in the area I doubt he'd go for a stroll

OP posts:
Laugs · 09/07/2010 09:58

Yeah, we'd have to pelt him with our cheese sarnies.

Hmm... I have to not worry about it or I won't leave the house. DH reckons it's because there is a helipad on Scotswood Road, which is, well, not that near us. But I suppose it might be quite close in helicopter terms. It's not like it's hovering over my house.

Butterpie · 09/07/2010 09:59

lol, I love how unconcerned people are Geordies are ace- "call that a shooting spree? Haway, Me Granda used to do that of a morning with a stottie in one hand before doing a full day in the mine, man!"

Also, lol at me trying to write in a Geordie accent, although it's not as bad as me trying to speak it

StealthPolarBear · 09/07/2010 10:01

IMO by making these vague threats against the police and public he has made himself a terrorist.

OP posts:
bossyboop · 09/07/2010 19:30

omg i understand the police having to say sorry for reading out the cards, one of which called him a nutter, it wasnt professional to do so, but if they are so worried about it undermining everything theyve done so far and how moat might react towards this they why on earth are the media allowed to keep showing the clip??????? I think the public should be kept informed of whats going on but i think the media has been showing far too much, making this a soap opera and tbh they may have caught him by now if it wasnt for the media interviewing survival experts detailing how he can survive out there, not to mention the fact it pinpoints where the police are and what they are doing.

Buzzybb · 09/07/2010 19:32

They have found him according to Sky News. Hope the police are ok it is apparently a confrontational situation

hollyoaks · 09/07/2010 19:37

Wow, he's got a gun to his head.

Buzzybb · 09/07/2010 19:39

Hope if any shots are fired that it is him committing suicide I know that is awful but really hope none of the policemen/women have to fire on him, it would be awful psychologically for them and he is really not worth that

hollyoaks · 09/07/2010 19:42

Why are all those people watching? I wouldn't want to be in his line of fire.

bathbuns · 09/07/2010 19:44

Looks like they've found him, doesn't it. Watching news 24 now, with all the police cars lined up and the ambulance coming up. I so hope they have and that no one has been hurt.
