I worked with a lady once who knew her and she said she was much maligned and had a very kind heart. I can believe that. She seems a good mother too and her daughters appear well balanced.

She's been foolish but I think the NOTW have stooped v low in their sting. Can she really have left the relationship with only 15k? Why didn't she ask for more in the divorce settlement?

The woman is completely barking - she swans around claiming to be such an aristocrat but she does not have the funds to back up her lifestyle. According to the report I read this morning she flies everywhere first class and retains a staff of 12 ffs! How does she get away with it?

I am not her biggest fan, however, she is definitely taking the fall on this one - Handy Andy (can't bring myself to call him R-andy) will know all about this kind of shit going on... the fact that she was filmed, means this isn't a one off - NOTW had to have a tip, so she has done it before hence setting up the sting, which means he can't not know about it, even if he turns a blind eye... they will have a really cosy little arrangement going on for sure. He is as dodgy as you like.

Maybe she did it on purpose in retaliation for all those years she is forced to spend xmas on her own in a cottage on the estate, eating xmas dinner alone, while her dd's have xmas dinner with the queen. She of course isn't invited. How can anyone do that to the mother of their grandchildren? I'm flummoxed.

And to add insult to injury, because they come and stay at the cottage a few days before xmas, the estate manager chucks

Of course he will let her take the full flack, though, I did see that the Times today had a report suggesting he had agreed
"behind the scenes" though may not have know about THAT PRECISE meeting.... and that his role as ambassador for trade is in jeopardy. That is a shame, that Britain loses a high profile figure to promote us abroad, but frankly, in the long run, we dont' want a pratt who only wants the perks and the money doing the job anyway, even if he is the queen's son, we must be able to come up with a real professional player to do the job.

Why are you suprised that the Queen does not invite her to Christmas Lunch? Would you have your DS's ex round to family gatherings. I don't think I would. I agree that Andy must have known she was taking money for introductions. Did you see the piece about her selling seats at a dinner so that people could sit with her and the girls and Elton John?

whatwasthatagain of course I would have my son's ex to dinner on xmas day if their children were having dinner with me and the ex wife was otherwise going to be eating xmas dinner alone. To do anything else is unchristian, and I'm not the the head of the church.

The royal family also arrange for the estate manager to drop a xmas tree off at the cottage for fergie and the girls. The estate manager does drop a xmas tree over for fergie and the girls. He dumps it over the fence on xmas eve and goes.

I always liked her TBH. A breath of fresh air next to diana. The press absolutely loathed her didn't they.

And LOL if someone offered me half a million to introduce them to DH I'd bite their arm off! I mean it's not like match fixing or something... I can't really get worked up about it. People pay money to meet slebs at dinners and things, if someone wants to pay her 500K to meet her ex, well more fool them.

Have always been impressed at how amicable their post-divorce relationship has been.

BAFE - she doesn't have to eat Christmas Dinner alone - that is her choice - she has other family doesn't she? And what do you expect the estate manger to do with the tree - set it up and decorate it for them?
