If you were the Chancellor, what would be in your budget?

re council tax - the info our council puts out shows the amounts for each band (A, B, C, etc) plus any local community costs on top.

I wasn't meaning individual households' details, just the overall summary. It's the sort of info one might want to refer to if one was comparing the cost year on year or looking at the amount the local Police force had received each year (one year their requirement increased by around 10% here, but unless you have all the past documents to hand, you cannot find such figures).

I just feel that keeping the info online, held in files or directories which use the Year as part of the name (to ensure they are kept unique) is so trivial, as to be automatic, for just such questions. However, the council buffoons don't seem to see it as an option (yet they win awards from time to time for their web site, so they're not completely thick, just blasted unhelpful!)
