Totenham Court Road has just been evacuated. I know there are going to be lots of scares following the London bombings but DH has asked me to check if anything has happened. He seems to think something has.

Kayleigh · 21/07/2005 15:07

GNER services out of Moorgate suspended. That's how I get home Hope they start back up shortly.

mummy23 · 21/07/2005 15:07

MrsDoolittle · 21/07/2005 15:07

Sorry hercules not you hunkermunker!

QueenOfQuotes · 21/07/2005 15:08

black or asian???

One or the other - how can they mistake the two?

hercules · 21/07/2005 15:09

Could have been wearing a cap? Dh often got mistaken to be black when wearing a cap.

Easy · 21/07/2005 15:09

fairly distinctive, a top with wires poking out of it !!

I wonder whether he looked dismayed cos he was told it was a suicide bomb ?

hunkermunker · 21/07/2005 15:09

Ah, I see - twas Hercules said that, MrsD!

Agree totally though!

RTKangaMummy · 21/07/2005 15:10

3 armed police entered UCH

MrsDoolittle · 21/07/2005 15:11

Now I'm confused, I thought the man with the exploding rucksack was injured and dismayed. What about the man with the wires disappearing into UCH to get treatment?

spacedonkey · 21/07/2005 15:11

6 foot 2 inch suspect seen running through UCH wearing a rucksack with wires protruding according to Sky

dyzzidi · 21/07/2005 15:11

I suppose they may have conflicting eyewitnesses, which may explain black/asian description.

RTKangaMummy · 21/07/2005 15:12

UCH IS shut off with no one allowed in or out

PiccadillyCircus · 21/07/2005 15:12

Just phoned my sister (had forgotten she works either in or very near UCH) to discover they were evacuated a while ago and she is home now.

Glad about that .

Now when should I leave I wonder? Both DH and I in London today and need to get trains from Kings Cross (I am in Baker Street, he is in Kentish Town and DS is 45 miles away).

HappyDaddy · 21/07/2005 15:12

I'm just glad that my SIL is ok. I haven't the stomach for a debate about Blair or Bush at the moment, I'm afraid.

Kayleigh · 21/07/2005 15:13

PiccadillyCircus, I have same problem. No trains going from Moorgate so I need to get to Kings X too.

RTKangaMummy · 21/07/2005 15:14

someone has run into UCH from warren street

according to BBC TV

dyzzidi · 21/07/2005 15:14

I hope the police get the guy rather than a 'mob' they may tear him apart and we will never know on whose behalf he was acting.

MascaraOHara · 21/07/2005 15:14

I've just heard that it could have been worse as only the detenators went off or something?!?! sorry don't know how bombs work

PiccadillyCircus · 21/07/2005 15:15

You're in the City aren't you?

After my 4 mile hike to Finsbury Park two weeks ago I'd rather not do anything like that again (plus I am two weeks more pregnant now).

DH says I should get a taxi. It's my last day at work before maternity leave which is good - but I think I will make a very low key exit .

PiccadillyCircus · 21/07/2005 15:16

That was to Kayleigh by the way - forgot about other people posting in the middle.

RTKangaMummy · 21/07/2005 15:16

king x thames link is open

victoria is open either side of warren street

Kayleigh · 21/07/2005 15:17

yes, I'm a 10 minute walk from Moorgate. 3 mins from Liverpool St
