story here

Oh I would LOVE to see each and every single non-white british person join the BNP, turn up to all the meetings, vote in the AGM, maybe overthrow the leadership and take control of the BNP.

It would be WONDERFUL.

I am still waiting for NG and the entire BNP membership to do a DNA test to prove their 'ethnic Britishness dating back 17,000 years' . Maybe I should join as their first black member and put it forward as a motion.

SpeedyGonzalez · 18/02/2010 22:59

Actually, dp, why don't you make that suggestion at the next meeting you attend? You can all make it public by doing it on TV and getting the results live on air. That would provide great publicity for your organisation, don't you think?

daftpunk · 18/02/2010 23:04

Why don't you come with me to the next meeting...I'll introduce you to NG...you can talk to him yourself......

Are you up for it...?

ItsGrimUpNorth · 18/02/2010 23:06

"Whatever he has said about the holocaust is his business and he can do the explaining...I can't talk for him...."

Eh? But you claim you are a BNP activist. Don't you think you should be very clear which parts of BNP you support and which you don't. Otherwise you just look stupid like Nick Griffin. You do anyway but heigh ho.

Are you a holocaust denier? Only an idiot would be so you say. Mr. Griffin was such a man although he says not now.

DP, can you prove you are more British than anyone else? Give us your heritage, please and there had better not be a single foreigner in there for at least 800 years or you should voluntarily leave the country* dearie.

I would love it if one of your kids turned out to be gay.

Otherwise it's all such moronic bull. Just another day from the BNP.

2shoes · 18/02/2010 23:09

why do all threads on here about the BNP turn in to attention seeking ones.
I wonder how many new membere the bnp have got

BadgersPaws · 18/02/2010 23:12

"I would never deny the holocaust...and anyone who does is (or was) a complete idiot."

OK so we can agree that Nick Griffin has obviously been a "complete idiot" for most of his political life?

He was still being a "complete idiot" as recently as 2007 when he told a Journalist that he did believe in the holocaust but only because European law required him to do so.

It also looks like he was still being a "complete idiot" in 2009. As what other than holocaust denial could he have been talking about when he insinuated that if he spoke his views he would be arrested.

Yet you think a "complete idiot" is capable of being trusted to live up to what he promises and is able to run the country?

daftpunk · 18/02/2010 23:13

itsgrimupnorth;

I'm the child of immigrants....

Oh....and I'm far from stupid....

You, on the other hand just keep the insults coming, which is the behaviour of a cretin...

Grow up

BadgersPaws · 18/02/2010 23:14

"I am still waiting for NG and the entire BNP membership to do a DNA test to prove their 'ethnic Britishness dating back 17,000 years'"

Well Nick Griffin has called himself Anglo-Saxon, so by his own standards he's not ethnically British. I don't see him at Heathrow trying to fly "home" though...

ItsGrimUpNorth · 18/02/2010 23:16

And the BNP (and you, DaftPunk) keep insulting the people of Great Britain.

You have no moral high ground to fling at anyone.

Take a long hard look at yourself.

If you truly believe in the BNP, why are you in the UK? Hypocrisy seems to be a very comfortable skin for fascists.

Revolting people.

daftpunk · 18/02/2010 23:16

BP...alot of people think Tony Blair was an idiot, they think Gordon Brown is an idiot, they will still vote Labour...

ItsGrimUpNorth · 18/02/2010 23:18

But not on the basis of racist, homophobic, women hating views.

daftpunk · 18/02/2010 23:20

What are you talking about "why am I in the UK".....I was bloody well born here that's why....

SpeedyGonzalez · 18/02/2010 23:31

Love to join you, dp, then I can ask him what he proposes to do with my half-white children. Split them in half, King Solomon-style?

Now, you've said you're the child of immigrants (like me) and that you were born here (like me)...so...explain yourself. Why are you a BNP member?

SpeedyGonzalez · 18/02/2010 23:32

BadgersPaw - re NG not claiming to be ethnically British: exactly. Yet he and his cohorts have coined that phrase. Eejits.

daftpunk · 18/02/2010 23:50

Come on Speedy....give me a break...I wouldn't interrogate you on why you support a political party.....you know the BNP's policies... I agree with them, and I want to stop the Islamification of my country...

Not sure what the big deal is tbh....

Catch up soon...

MeMySonAndI · 18/02/2010 23:52

OMG, that is like hanging an add saying "vegetarians now welcome" on the windows of a steak house.

This is just PR, guess they want to hide a bit their very racist nature? So they can say, oh but we welcome minorities, it is THEM that doesn't want us?

BlacknoSigar · 18/02/2010 23:55

Or White people welcome in the BPA.

notbloodybranston · 19/02/2010 00:08

Daftpunk - honest question here.

I really don't understand how you can support the BNP on any level. I am not the liberal elite. Am northern, working class origin (don't know what you would call me now) and of immigrant stock. What on earth is the attraction? I've read quite a bit of their policy documents and also had to step in when two of my law students were standing as BNP coucillors to protect their free speech against an appalled student body.

Islamification? Look back 100 years, 150 years. There have been waves of immigrants into this country from many backgrounds, followed by legislation, followed by integration. And life goes on. My students are off different ethnicities, different religions. But once you get to the third generation they are almost always fully integrated.

To follow a man who can't explain a viewpoint he once held would be like marrying an utter baffoon. To be a member of a party where a leading member has argued there is no such thing as rape. How many of your family and friends agree with you?

Kaloki · 19/02/2010 01:34

"What are you talking about "why am I in the UK".....I was bloody well born here that's why...."

Correct me if I'm wrong (nb. evidence please) but the BNP don't want children of immigrants living here, and so, if you agree with the BNP shouldn't you lead by example and well.. sod off.

Lulumama · 19/02/2010 07:49

daftpunk , I asked for your pov on the holocaust.. not the party line or NG's opinion..

BelleDameSansMerci · 19/02/2010 07:54

DP, I'm going to go against the grain a bit here... I think I've already made the point that I would never ever support the BNP or anything they stand for so hopefully we both understand that we're agreeing to disagree on the BNP.

What I want to ask though is why you support them? You've stated that you're not denying the holocaust; that you're British born of immigrant parents; and that you're a Catholic. So I don't understand what it is about the BNP in particular that has drawn you to them? If it's the homosexuality thing (which I've seen you bring up more than once) then surely your church and their views are a clear enough route for that feeling? I don't understand why you feel the BNP is the most appropriate vehicle for your beliefs (not that I know what those are).

How do your parents feel about this? Again, none of my business, just curious.

I'm asking this because underneath your political views, when I see you on other threads, you seem to be just like everyone else. I just don't get what the BNP offers you.

seeker · 19/02/2010 07:58

I would be delighted to come to a BNP meeting with you, daftpunk. When and where? I have a car - I can travel anywhere in the country.

Actually, I have a car with 8 seats - happy to give another 7 mumsnetters a lift.

As I said, when and where?

heQet · 19/02/2010 08:10

Daftpunk - can I ask a question. And I mean just a question, not attacking you. I am curious.

I said it earlier in the thread, in a taking the piss way yes, which is probably why you overlooked it but seriously - it is my understanding that the BNP would require anyone "not british" to leave the country, and I have read that some bnp suggest that money would be given to "repatriate" non-british people.

Now, does this refer to people who were not born in this country? Or people whose parents were not born in this country? Does it apply to anyone not born in this country, or only people who are not white who were not born in this country?

As a BNP activist, what is the BNP policy on this?

As the mother of 2 mixed race children, who were born in the uk, but whose father was not, how many of us would be invited to leave? How many generations would it take for a black or asian person to be "british", or would a non-white person never be british?

I'm genuinely curious. The truth please, not the pr version.

seeker · 19/02/2010 08:26

And as a follow on from heQet's question - what about me? I am the only member of my family of origin to be born in this country for many generations - my parents were born in Australia as were their grandparents and great grandparents.
