story here

Oh I would LOVE to see each and every single non-white british person join the BNP, turn up to all the meetings, vote in the AGM, maybe overthrow the leadership and take control of the BNP.

It would be WONDERFUL.

DP an apology would probably help. You can have your opinions but you don't have to be so personally offensive to someone.

PuzzleRocks · 03/03/2010 16:41

I just wanted to say to LeninGrad, before I hide this revolting thread, that you are a remarkably dignified woman and as such I admire you.

Lulumaam · 03/03/2010 16:47

Dp, you are so insular. really you are

you sound like one of those blokes who calls a woman a lesbian as an insult, beccause he can't believe she doenst fancy him, so must be a lesbian. it is people who are insecure within themselves, their own lives and own sexualities, who are so narrow and insular, they cannot beleive, that not everyone is the same. from their skin colour to their sexual identity

enough research has been done onver the years to show a degree of fluidity in human sexuality

hence some gay men will have had relationships with women, some people fall in love with the person , not the gender or geitalia

daftpunk · 03/03/2010 16:50

LG listen, I'm sorry ok, I never mean to hurt you or any other lesbian on MN, I just think all this PC stuff passed me by, (I must have been staring out of the window or something?) I never seem to get it right, probably because I don't think I'm saying anything wrong.

I've read back over what I said to you, and I can't see what's wrong with it. I was just giving you my opinion on lesbians, it doesn't mean my opinion is right.

If your opinion of catholics were that most of us are messed up hypocrites, you'd be right,
I wouldn't take it too personally.

Because opinions are just that aren't they...they're not facts.

I think you've got the complete wrong impression of me, I'm sure you think I'm just an attention seeking homophobic racist, and all I want to do is talk about the BNP. That's just not true. Y'know when I go out, all I want to do is sit in a corner with a bottle of vodka and talk about football.

Lulumaam · 03/03/2010 16:53

if you can't see why that opnion would be hurtful, then i am seriously concerned for you

you've basically implied that lesbians are just a bit, well, silly. afraid of men and scared of real relationships

and if the could just get over it, they could be normal.

runnybottom · 03/03/2010 17:04

and you know its hurtful because you have been told over and over again, and occasionally you apologise and then next time you do the same thing again.

daftpunk · 03/03/2010 17:38

Runnybottom (like your native American name btw) I don't know I'm being hurtful...that's the whole point...do you think I like being the most hated person on MN..?

I don't post much on MN anymore, I know anything I say is jumped on and usually twisted completely.

It would be nice if I could start all over again, but that's just not possible.

runnybottom · 03/03/2010 17:44

You could namechange and try and be a bit more sensitive?

FWIW i find your opinions and the way you phrase them offensive, but I defend your right to have them and express them. You'd be doing us all, including yourself,a favour if you tried to express them a little less inanely and with an attempt at sensitivity.

tortoisefairy · 03/03/2010 18:17

DP did you watch that programme last week called 'The day the immigrants left?'

If you didn't I can give you a brief sypnosis? I would be interested on your opinion.
Thanks

daftpunk · 03/03/2010 18:55

No, I didn't watch it.

I didn't watch it because I don't fall for propaganda, which is all it was...the programme would have been more honest if it had been titled..

"Let's pick the laziest white British people we can and show the country just how crap they really are" .....I might be wrong with the "white" bit, were there any black or Asian unemployed people in the experiment..?

Or are we meant to believe that only white people are lazy benefit scroungers..?

I guess the programme was an insult to most peoples intelligence....and racist to white British people, can you imagine the reaction if everyone in the programme portrayed negatively had been black ?

chipmonkey · 03/03/2010 19:01

Or you you only fall for the propoganda that suits you?

Lulumaam · 03/03/2010 19:03

of course, tehre is no propoganda out htere about immigrants, perpetuated by the BNP and their ilk

daftpunk · 03/03/2010 19:09

Lulumaam;

This was a programme put out by the BBC to show how lazy white people are, do you think they would have made that programme in an area where there are 1000's of black and asian unemployed..?

Lulumaam · 03/03/2010 19:14

but did it say all white people are lazy? i didn't see it, so can' relly comment

the point is BNP and anti immigration bodies aer forever pointing out feckless work shy immigrants, the point needed making that there are plenty of white, born in the UK scourngers too and the woes of teh country cannot be laid at the doors of immigrans

daftpunk · 03/03/2010 19:20

We know there are loads of workshy white people, there are also 1000's of workshy British born black and asian people...did the programme reflect that ?

Lulumaam · 03/03/2010 19:22

why the oh god?

i didn't see the programme , but can't comment

i am not sure why i came cabck to this, except to express my horror at what you said to Leningrad

i think i need to step away from the thread, it is the epitome of a a circular argument, with people at polar opposites, who will never agree and merely end up with sore heads from bashing them against teh wall

Mumcentreplus · 03/03/2010 19:31

daftpunk..did the show actually say 'white people were lazy?'..you sound like you are project my dear...

daftpunk · 03/03/2010 19:40

MCP;

You can say something without using words y'know...

I can have a conversation with someone just by using my eyes....

You should try it....

runnybottom · 03/03/2010 20:22

I watched it, I thought it was hilarious. 3 out of 4 of them didn't show for work in the Indian restaurant, the other one gave up halfway through....and the guys in the spud factory were just a joke.

noddyholder · 03/03/2010 20:49

They were unemployed locals in communities with large ish immigrant work forces. They were given a chance to swap the dole for unskilled positions reasonably paid and easily done by the polish/czech guys. They thought they were too good for it Shocking esp the lack of EFFORT

"I don't post much on MN anymore, I know anything I say is jumped on and usually twisted completely."

RIGHT, dp. Here's your chance. What have you said that has been twisted completely?

daftpunk · 04/03/2010 08:16

Seeker, Are you giving me the green light to bring up old threads? Because if you say it's ok I'll do it, I don't think you're out to cause me problems, because despite some of the things you say to me, I know you're ok...

...But are you aware that I have a stalker problem ? (and she doesn't need much encouragement to hang around me all day)...this will be like a red flag to a bull...

...but what the hell,

I will return.
