I just checked out the Boden website....not for me, I usually shop on ASOS, and Im not middle class nor am I yummy. I am a mummy though.

AitchTwoOhOneOh · 15/02/2010 09:58

she's a hoot, jsp, i like her. lol.

Igglybuff · 15/02/2010 09:59

Yes Bicnod I first joined as was scared about being a mum soley in charge of a baby and was having trouble breastfeeding. I got so much help and advice and continue to do so. It's a shame that MN is being portrayed as a bitchy playground. Although I do love reading the opinionated stuff!

Habbibu · 15/02/2010 10:01

The inadequacy thing was odd - why on earth would she feel inadequate? She's very successful and presumably quite happy with her life. But god, this is getting awfully dull now - true or not, it's not News.

Tortington · 15/02/2010 10:01

oh got this news was so yesterday. write a proper article.

someone who won't attend the party becuse all the high powered women will be talking babies not business she seems to know this site quite well telling us that we shouldn't talk about the gritty thing ( well we are only mums let's stick to baby sick) and that we are bullies ( that was so yesterdays news) as far as i can see she's nicked yesterdays news articles about MNbitches and Johnny Boden and just put sprinkles on.

thought you were better than that tbh JSP.

Bicnod · 15/02/2010 10:03

Me too Iggly - I MN instead of reading crap mags/watching crap tv... but I still really value the support I get on here.

VinegarTits · 15/02/2010 10:13

I love JSP and i totally agree with her. i wouldnt attend a party where the dress code was Boden either

Tortington · 15/02/2010 10:15

i was presuming that was a joke is it really the dress code?

heQet · 15/02/2010 10:17

"standing around chatting about kiddie sick, teething problems or breastfeeding fills me with dread and a deep sense of inadequacy."

I didn't realise we talked about such things.

I thought it was bumsex and boden. Or what boden outfit to wear while having bumsex.

You mean people actually talk about parenting related things on mumsnet? Who knew?!

Igglybuff · 15/02/2010 10:20

Bicnod my DH thinks I'm mad as when he finds me having a break, I'm online looking at the latest crazy threads on here!

MiladyDeWinter · 15/02/2010 10:22

"There seems to be a received way of thinking, and woe betide anyone who disagrees"

I choked on my tea reading that. Hasn't she even glanced at Bounty or Netmums?

AitchTwoOhOneOh · 15/02/2010 10:24

yy that was annoying, using the netmums figs with which to castigate mumsnet. [people's front of judea icon] we are all individuals.

Bumsex and boden. That has a nice ring to it heQet.

Surely the Boden dresscode thingy was put on the invite in jest?

Maybe JSP thinks netmums and mumsnet are one and the same . Suspect she hasn't actually been on here herself but has formed opinions based on other people's shite journalistic musings.

I always quite liked her - bit sad that she's writing crap for the Daily Hate.

ForestFire · 15/02/2010 10:41

FIO

hello!!!

AitchTwoOhOneOh · 15/02/2010 10:49

ForestFire · 15/02/2010 10:49

i find her funny when she tells ramsey to ( ooh i think she swears) fuck off.

AitchTwoOhOneOh · 15/02/2010 10:55

she did a tv show about running a celeb newspaper thing - absolute rubbish but i loved it. she looked like an ace boss i though, mad but fair, just the way i like 'em.

LazyJourno · 15/02/2010 11:01

I quite like JSP. I think she'd like us too at a party. She'd have to be prepared to let her hair down though

I am middle class though but I don't wear Boden myself. Too young

Boobz · 15/02/2010 11:23

I don't get all this MN bashing. I found MN when I first became pregnant in 2008 and it's been an invaluable source for pregnancy and child birth alone, for me at least.

And AIBU whiles away the time when there's nothing on the telly.

Why can't people who don't like it just not come here, rather than ranting about the kind of people who post and saying it's shit?

And it's always nice to be invited to a party, even if you don't think it's your thing. Can't you just RSVP and say no, without being all stuck up about it?

Gah.

LedodgyChristmasjumper · 15/02/2010 11:26

I agree with her on most of it and totally agree on the Boden/Complan comparison.
