Thanks i am at high risk too.My GP is quite concerned but there were 2 teachers at ds school off with it and we recieved a v scary email.GP now says he doesn't know if they were confirmed cases .Ds has gone to school as per usual as doc said unless I keep him home til next march I am not really helping

Okay, so there's a lot of doubt about whether it actually helps reduce infection rates, but I figure I won't care as much!

I was under the impression that the vaccine won't be ready for a few months yet and that when it does become available it will not be given to the wider population. It will actually begin with frontline NHS staff, then anyone considered to be vulnerable to the virus and then finally to the general population.
If that's the case then there is no point in me worrying abut whether or not i should have the vaccine because quite frankly, by the time i and the rest of my family are offered it i will have had swine flu........

idrank...the govenment have now announced that a vaccine will be available to everyone - although as you say there will be a priority list.

So I guess those high on the priority list can test it befor ewe get it
