although that is her job i suppose, but can't help feeling that if i was already rich then i would give up work after the birth of my child rather than put myself under unnecessary pressure for a few more hundred thousand (surely shes not a mutli million per film kind of a girl)

The times interview was good. She has not had a good pregnancy as she developed huge growths in her mouth which grew down between her teeth. She had to have them removed but they are growing back again. She said that when she eats her mouth fills with blood and even showed the growths to the interviewer. She was posing with the new Tommy's campaign tee-shirt and you can clearly see her mouth is swollen. Hadn't heard of this problem before but actually felt really sorry for her.

if stretch marks won't go down well on film then a c/s scar won't either, surely the health and well being of your child is better than whetehr you have a section or not. most mums don't want a section but will oblige if it is necessary!

Oh, I really can't stand this silly woman. Always got the impression she was a self-obsessed airhead, now here's the proof.

She is setting herself up for being stalked by Heat magazine etc to take pics of her looking fat and knackered just after she's given birth - why can she not just accept that it is totally normal to look like hell for a while.

I remember seeing a pic of Kate Moss not long after, and because I am a horrible person it made me sooo happy, almost as happy as Zoe Ball saying she was wearing size 18 knickers after having her ds.

But Mrsflowerpot, I don't think it does make you a horrible person to be pleased to see that supermodels can look a bit knackered and crap after having a baby. I think it makes you normal!

I think that just how long I kept the magazine so I could look at the photo and smirk makes me a horrible person...

Mags have a go at celebs when they are 'too skinny' after having a baby and then have a dig when they 'look rough', they can't win. I remember seeing a pic of Liv Tyler (babe) with the usual baggy eyes that go with a new born and the snidey remarks that went with it were unbelievable.

Usually written by women as well which is even more disappointing.

the sad thing is I can only dream of looking as good normally as Kate Moss did post-natally... just plain old fashioned .

I feel sorry for her to be honest. She's got no idea about what life will be like with a baby - and this misguided interview will come back to bite her I guarantee it. And she's putting such pressure on herself too it seems a shame.

Oh the plans I had before dd was born............

What upsets me is not the pressure she is putting herself under but what she's doing to other women. Things are bad enough when you see the likes of VB looking like a stick before her C-section scar's had time to heal but this article takes it to another level.

The annoying thing is that on the outside she will probably look like she's sucessfully acheived her mission as it will be glossed over by the media plus she will no doubt have a nanny and an army of stylists and personal trainers to ensure that on the outside she looks OK.
