I think it is a rather nice send off,
Fitting.
Nice to hear others sing his songs

TDiddy..don't think i've been on a thread with you before...been nice talking to you

beanieb · 09/07/2009 16:27

"You are right, we don't know. This is all speculation and stuff sourced from celebrity magazines. If speculation and journalistic writings were enough to convict then our prisons would be overcrowded"

well said

Lulumama · 09/07/2009 16:27

tdiddy, how sure are you he did not do anything?

i said i was sure beyond reasonable doubt that he had.

even if the evidence is circumstantial, it is IMO persuasive

grown man, in bed with a multitude of young boys, never girls, has drug addiction issues, gives minors wine, showers family and boy with lots of gifts.. it is certainly reprehensible on some level.

was there abuse? i thikn so. abuse of power at the least to manipulate families and children into sharing his bed.

the whole thing is really qutie shocking. and it is part of his legacy, along with his amazing musical talent.

Rhubarb · 09/07/2009 16:36

Abuse of power, yes that one I will agree with. Absolutely.

beanieb · 09/07/2009 16:40

"i said i was sure beyond reasonable doubt that he had." Lulumama how on earth can you be sure beyond reasonable doubt that he had when you haven't seen any of the evidence presented in a court of law?

"grown man, in bed with a multitude of young boys, never girls," would it be different if it had been girls too?

Lulumama · 09/07/2009 16:53

i read extensively about the trial. i have not just decided today that that is what i htink. i made my decision years ago, re his guilt/innocence and it is my opinion.

i have said how sure i am . how sure are you he he did not do anything?

no, it would not have been different with girls. what i find odd is that MJ pronouned children were the future, were the world, would heal us all, yet only ever cultivated relationships with boys. girls were not really on teh radar, therefore i think he had a prediliction for young boys.

re the alchol , the bed sharing, the grooming IMO.. do you see it all as innocent fun? am i missing something? is it really not as bad as it seems?

Lulumama · 09/07/2009 16:54

i will just reiterate, this is my own personal opinion. i might be right, i might be wrong.

TDiddy · 09/07/2009 16:56

Lulu- we have been consistently saying that we are not certain that he is innocent. If you review Rhubarb's and I think daftpunk's and mine and other's like spokette's threads you will see that many of us alluded to the inappropriateness of his behaviour. But we said that there are many other possible explanations consistent with all the odd person that he was.

take care

Lulumama · 09/07/2009 17:00

but i have not disparaged any of you in any way.. and yet for being so sure, i am being patronised and derided.

take care?? WTF??

do you want to pat me on the head as well?

why can a debate with strong opinions on both sides not just be enjoyed as a debate without getting personal and rude?

Lulu- I am not annoyed with you. "Take care" was meant like "best wishes" or "peace and love". Please don't be offended.

TDiddy · 09/07/2009 17:08

Lulu- so where do you stand on ID cards then?

Lulumama · 09/07/2009 17:11

oh

ok

sorry, i am on the defensive it would seem

id cards..... hmmm., did i say i would get back to you on that

yes that's interesting, dittany, so when (i think) tdiddy said something along the lines of 'who doesn't have erotic images in their house?' the question was valid in the sense of 'which sexual adult doesn't have etc etc?'

but of course jacko is only getting these lads to sleep with him by pretending to be the boy who hasn't grown up ie who didn't become sexual. i hadn't thought of it like that.

Don't think he was pretending. He was emotionally/sexually immature. It's not a defence -- the whole Peter Pan garbage, but quite consistent with a child molester.

yes, there was certainly something sexual there... wasn't there?

i suppose it could just have been like one pre teen showing anotehr one a dirty mag he found

except he was a grown adult in his 30s with access to booze and drugs.

TDiddy · 09/07/2009 18:07

Aithcho- I didn't say anything about erotic images!!!

this is what I said:
"hands up you are 100opc certain that 'erotic materials' would not be found at your home if serached by the police. Need to check with DW and revert "

What is erotic matreials is the first question?

Anyway- I will try to to look at this thread vindictive thread again.

TDiddy · 09/07/2009 18:10

FioFio - sounds very erotic to me

AitchTwoOh · 09/07/2009 18:13

lol at folder. did you see some of the comments under that clip, fio, 'that was definitely him, it had his hair and everything'. lol. mental. it was a shadow...

i agree that he was emotionally immature, ilove, i just mean pretending in the sense that his image, that of an asexual creature, stood him in good stead with parents. what a poor sod he was, eh?
