"British National Party (BNP) chairman Nick Griffin has defended a party leaflet which says that black Britons and Asian Britons "do not exist".

The BNP's "Language and Concepts Discipline Manual" says the term used should be "racial foreigners". "

More on BBC news site here

I'm sure no-one will be surprised about this, but it's useful to have stuff like this out in the open. Wankers.

what a bunch of wankers.
they are so full of crap.
my best friend is asian british, going round to give her a prod tonight to make sure she really exists, maybe i have imagined her!

Tortington · 23/04/2009 11:16

born in uk - but foreign

Portofino · 23/04/2009 11:18

"These people are 'black residents' of the UK etc, and are no more British than an Englishman living in Hong Kong is Chinese." !

If you were born in the UK how can you possibly be "foreign"?

nancy75 · 23/04/2009 11:21

what is frighteninh is that in times of economic downturn these morons gain support, and people actually start to agree with their warped ideas.

KingRolo · 23/04/2009 11:23

You are right, this does need to be in the open.

The BNP have tried to present themselves as more mainstream in recent years but this document talks about how the BNP's "ultimate aim" is the "repatriation of the resident foreigners of the UK".

People need to know what the BNP really stand for and not get sidetracked by local issues.

Kathyis6incheshigh · 23/04/2009 11:24

They are trying to push this bizarre idea that if you are a white Briton your identity is somehow threatened by the existence of Black or Asian Britons. Barking.

I'm glad the BBC chose to use a really ugly image of Nick Griffin too.

GothAnneGeddes · 23/04/2009 12:25

Disgusting.

Makes me wonder what they think mixed race people should be called.

I'm tempted to start a thread: "AIBU to want to spit in Nick Griffin's face?"

Stretch · 23/04/2009 12:36

@ "Pakistani stock"!! WTF!?

Auntylulu · 23/04/2009 12:40

i always have to snort at 'humane and voluntary repatriation'

what about Asians , for example, who are the 2nd and 3rd generation to be born in this country? where can they be repatriated to?

nasty and insidious racism

and always gets more support in bad times

lal123 · 23/04/2009 12:50

FGS - what about 2nd or 3rd generations born in this country where great grandparents were from other White countries? Should anyone with Irish great grandparents be repatriated to Ireland? Should my DP be repatriated to Poland as his Grandad was Polish??? Oh, no wait a minute its OK - he's not black so he's one of us. Thats ok then

I'd love to see some sort of family tree done for Nick Griffin - just to see where his roots lie (some swamp somewhere where he's just managed to crawl out of...)

YanknCock · 23/04/2009 12:57

We were getting leaflets through our door when living in Woolwich. Was married to XH then who is Black British. If we'd have had children, the BNP would want XH and our hypothetical mixed race children to be repatriated to Jamaica (I think he's been there once). I wondered if I'd be allowed to stay, being white, but read on their website that I'd need to go back to the U.S. (even though I'm a citizen here).

Fucking tossers, the lot of them.

Auntylulu · 23/04/2009 13:00

my great grandparents immigrated from eastern europe too. i should thikn the vast majority of people have some sort of ethnicity (if that is the right word) in their background, if you go far enough back.

lal123 · 23/04/2009 13:02

It's not the right word Auntylulu - EVERYONE has an ethnicity, whether its British, Irish, Asian, etc etc. If you go back far enough we all come from Africa.

StealthPolarBear · 23/04/2009 13:02

Auntylulu I was just going to say the same thing - I bet if they ever tried to put this into practice (hopefully never) then the population of the UK would be reduced to a single family of 25 people!

StealthPolarBear · 23/04/2009 13:03

Hmm sending us all to Africa - there's an idea!

lal123 · 23/04/2009 13:05

All of us apart from the lovely Nick

FAQinglovely · 23/04/2009 13:05

"repatriation of the resident foreigners of the UK"

now what I'm intrigued about is if all those Black and Asian (and I presume mixed race too??) Brit are repatriated because they're foreigners................where exactly do the BNP think they'll be repatriated too???

Kathyis6incheshigh · 23/04/2009 13:05

I think it's funny that they have to say it would be voluntary repatriation. So everyone could just say 'No thank you very much, I think I'd rather stay.'

OP posts:
KingRolo · 23/04/2009 13:08

And that would be the end of the BNP! Hurrah!

YanknCock · 23/04/2009 13:08

They want them to go back to wherever their parents/grandparents are from. Completely idiotic.

XH hated Jamaica. Even his parents, who are from there, don't feel like they fit in any more (they've been here their entire adult lives). His mum gets called 'English girl' when she goes for a visit!

FAQinglovely · 23/04/2009 13:09

I wonder when they "voluntarily" repatriate her BIL and SIL - who aren't British as it happens they really are foreigners - who will replace them in their jobs - as far as a I'm aware becoming a pharmacist takes several years of training and managers of large homes for adults with learning difficulties tend not to be easy to find either.

FAQinglovely · 23/04/2009 13:11

from where their parents/grandparents are from - that could be interesting given the huge rise in recent history international marriages - and therefore children with parents from different parts of the world

Lulumama · 23/04/2009 13:13

ok, thanks. but you got my point i think !

the thing is, if you read their stuff, and have no other point of reference, or friends/family who would disagree.. it is terribly seductive, isn;t it? british jobs for british people.. an at the moment, with unemployment rising, it is far easier to look at a polish /asian/ chinese/ african worker doing a job, and saying, he stole our jobs. it is terrifying, really. society always wants a scapegoat and someone to blame, and here it is. those nasty forriners, taking our jobs/ scrounging our benefits.

Lulumama · 23/04/2009 13:14

oops., just changed back from Auntylulu!
