having just given birth to baby petal

congrats to them all, and hurrah for Jools for standing outside showing the world that after youve had your baby you still look exactly the same as you did at 9 months pregnant good on her for showing off the post-baby belly instead of covering it up in the manner of 'look how thin I am having giving birth x hours ago'

It is sleb twaddle isn't it? Never mind. I suppose I think the little girls would have looked nicer in less matching Sunday dress because neither of their parents are dressed up, and really that's rather nice. For me the pictures are not sleb but just a couple (any couple) celebrating the birth of a new baby.

TheCrackFox · 05/04/2009 19:36

My mums used to dress me and my sis the same, she is 2 years younger than me. This was in the 1970s. We both hated it. Seems strange that this fashion is still lingering.

FairLadyOfMuslinCloth · 06/04/2009 01:17

on the dressing the same...I do that at times with ys and ms...because otherwise there will be fighting....
tbh, I find it hilarious that people in a country that has school uniforms, even give it a 2nd thought....
funny enough I am not a friend of Uniforms, lol...

I know of lots of people who dress their young girls in matching or very similar outfits. Generally because the girls have requested it.

Alambil · 07/04/2009 01:52

we used to wear same outfit, different colour

I guess the title is accurate in that they aren't bootcut jeans, but I bet they're maternity skinnies!

Eve4Walle · 07/04/2009 11:53

Jools looks lovely. Jamie looks very happy. The baby is cute as a button. And their other two girls are just adorable and look fab in their matching outfits.

A perfect sleb family, but they look genuinely happy.

NotmyELFtoday · 07/04/2009 18:24

Lovely pics. I really like that family Xmas Smile

I do chuckle when I see kids dressed the same (none twins obv) - I cant see the point in that, but then people think I dress my child like she's a 60s flower child so perhaps I shouldn't comment.

And, Michelle from Dublin... blimey!!

FairLadyOfMuslinCloth · 07/04/2009 23:27

Eve,I agree they don't look like the usual fakoids slebs...

Habbibu · 08/04/2009 09:10

Why did Jamie have to wear a mask, do you think? Is that normal in posh private hosps?

hazeyjane · 08/04/2009 09:57

I liked Jool's book, probably because I had 2 dd's with the same age gap as Poppy and Daisy, and it made me feel a bit less panicky about having 2 so close together.

I must admit that i often dress my 2 in similar outfits, but less through planning, and more because my tired brain can just about come up with one vaguely co-ordinating outfit, in fact some times I've left the house and realised that we are all wearing pretty much the same thing(EEk!)

purpleduck · 08/04/2009 10:20

ooh hazy we do that - the amount of times we have left the house, and realised that we are all wearing same colored bottoms, same colored tops....

Jools rocks, and I am being very sisterly and supportive and not at all jealous that her legs are so thin..

FairLadyOfMuslinCloth · 08/04/2009 17:40

Habbibu...that Hospital is rather famous for being rather interventionist....so...I suppose that what he was wearing the mask for...who knows...
