I'm just listening to the details of this horrendous attack. Why stab her? It wasn;t robbery.

I read that she kept mouthing the word 'happy' and thought either she's delirious or her family are making a mistake...but then read how she thought her son was going to be murdered and I think she is just happy that it was her and not him. And if that's the case, doesn't it sum up the nature of parental love?
Such an appallingly sad thing. Unbelievable.

I can't believe he grabbed the little boy and held a knife to his throat!! My stomach flipped when I heard that I can't even imagine... Just makes you feel sick doesn't it

I think any of us with children just shudder when you hear that he had hold of Joseph with a knife to his throat - what kind of monster is he?

I walk often on my own in the rural area where I live. I'm determined not to let this deter me - will you it stop any of you walking?

I can't stop thinking about this horrific attack and every mother will feel for her. I'm not one for praying very often but I'm praying for her. Thankfully her son is safe. It makes me cry even imagining what they have suffered.

They seem a really wonderful family.

I wrote on the other thread about this but don't you think Abigail is one amazing woman and mother? All those hours she spent giving a really detailed description of this evil man despite her pain and shock at what happened.

I just hope she can keep the baby she is carrying. I don't know her or her family but she seems a fighter, the photo they show on the news is so powerful in its message to the attacker.

Lets hope they catch him before he does it again and lets hope he is sent away forever. Anyone who can hold a knife to a toddler's neck - it just doesn't bear thinking about how evil he is!
