Lazy journalism, but brining MN to the masses can't be a bad thing.

Itsjustafleshwound · 14/02/2009 12:04

LoveaDaisycal - you can order the book through 'Times Books' !! (Small advert to the side of the article)

VanillaPumpkin · 14/02/2009 12:05

It is funny though .

UnquietDad · 14/02/2009 12:07

Cheap and easy article! I wonder how long that took to "write"?

CharCharGabor · 14/02/2009 12:17

Even though this is a shite, lazily written article... wooooo! One of my threads is in there! DP has gone to buy the hard copy of it for me now.

SheSellsSeashellsByTheSeashore · 14/02/2009 12:18

Ohh look at me. I am famous!

Does this mean that we are all jounalists then? Since we actually wrote the article?

IorekByrnison · 14/02/2009 12:19

Think Lady Muck is right - must be a promotion.

morningpaper · 14/02/2009 12:21

I think Justine wrote this - I'm sure she will come and confirm

TrillianAstra · 14/02/2009 12:25

Just had to run off to buy my copy before they all sell out

cocolepew · 14/02/2009 12:28

Crap I ^knew I should pay more attention to AIBU. I wanted to be in it.

psychomum5 · 14/02/2009 12:29

ooh, I'M quoted

can rest easy now about trying to find out if I have been quoted in the book...........I made The Times instead!

wotulookinat · 14/02/2009 13:09

Quoted in The Times is something to be proud of, I reckon

LadyOfWaffle · 14/02/2009 13:14

Aww, i'm not there But I was quoted in the Guardian!

wotulookinat · 14/02/2009 13:15

Oooooh! Impressive

FairLadyRandySlut · 14/02/2009 13:23

I remember posting on some of those threads and I have not been "quoted

tumtumtetum · 14/02/2009 13:30

Ooooh me me me meeee mee me me me!

I'm famous too!

When will my cheque arrive

Is it me though or has the cut and pasting resulted in something not half as funny as the original?

wotulookinat · 14/02/2009 13:32

No, tumtum, it's not just you.

slayerette · 14/02/2009 13:38

I did think that there are much better AIBU threads to give a real flavour of MN humour. Not that everyone who posted wasn't great , just that I have been ROFL at MN before; crying proper tears.

What about that classic thread at Xmas about the DH who hadn't booked any accommodation for example? Now that would be one to print!

tumtumtetum · 14/02/2009 13:39

Now I am famous, and everyone wants a piece of me, I will be sure to direct people to some of my wittier posts before I embark on my world lecture tour

Must go phone's ringing off the hook...

Mwah mwah

tumtumtetum · 14/02/2009 13:41

slayerette - probably because most of the funnier threads are about bumsex and therefore way too obscene for general consumption

wotulookinat · 14/02/2009 13:41
Grin
ChampagneAndStrawberries · 14/02/2009 13:43

Mind you, last time someone wrote an interesting article about Mumsnet it caused a Major Incident, so perhaps C&P is safer...

giraffescantdancethetango · 14/02/2009 13:47

Wow I am going to become a journalist it seems piss easy! woohoo my first article

MrsMattie · 14/02/2009 13:50

I am touched. I have been mentioned {smile]

I once got mentioned by Louise Doughty in her 'Novel in a year' column in the Torygraph and I felt like cracking open the bubbly. This is possibly better.

Wine o'clock has come early in my house, it would seem
