One day we had been visiting my grandma and arrived home in the car, we all got out (mum, dad, me and 3 sisters) and I glanced at my mum and dads bedroom window.

There was a person at the window. No lie.

I shouted this out and they all looked up,

the person had dark hair, yellow top on but couldnt see any facial features - was a net curtain up so couldnt see clearly.

My dad freaked, ran,, opened the door, grabbed a bat and ran upstairs to face 'intruder'
No one there.

Person at window gone.

It was so scary,

going to ask my dad about it tomorrow actually.

Oh i have another one, a better one.

We spent christmas 2 years ago at my parents, one evening all a bit merry, my dad walks up the stairs singing and someone shouts "shut the fuck up", no one around, dad poos himself. On christmas day my DS got a walk along train, we parked it by the sofa, my dad walked through the lounge, singing again and the train whizzed out in front of him and tripped him up. No one there... again dad poos himself!

I've never been good at ghost stories. Have a great story about a spooky forest, a witch, a lollipop lady and a giant pair of scissors though.

Gosh, your Dad's singing must be really shocking if people are moved to shut him up from beyond the grave.

Oooh, I'm getting all spooked out by these despite myself.

My friend and her flatmates were convinced they had a ghost - they'd all been woken at night with the feeling something 'evil' was pressing down on them and were unable to move. Brrrrr. Luckily, said mate was going out with a vicar's son at the time so his dad preformed a distinctly underwhelming exorcism, turning up with his vicarly implements (a bowl) in a Tesco bag. And even more so when he asked for some North London tap water for his pot for the holy water.

They then had to pray in every room and throw the holy water into the corners. Seemed to do the trick, though; the ghostie never made itself known again.

As to the OP - Oh FFS! It's someone walking between the light and the person holding the phone. As to the 12-year-old boy sounding 'genuinely scared' - when I was 12 not only could I act at least that well, but I was certainly mischevious enough to pull a stunt like this.
It was in the farking Sun, that bastion of truth and scientific detachment. Get a grip.

That shadow looks suspiciously like what happens when you have refracted light from a car driving past the window in the left of the shot.

But hey, it cheered up an otherwise news devoid day in the tabloids.
