Belgium creche attack. Just saw this and thought this was sad.

This was just on CH4 news I couldn't find ay other threads so thought I'd start this one.

3 deaths have been confirmed 2 children and one adult. The creche was from babies to 4YO.

What kind of monster could do this? I'm sure we will find out more over the next few days but it mustv'e been so scary for those poor children and the workers as well as any familillies involved.

Oh no. That's just horrific.

Oh god. Can you imagine running to get your children after hearing this on the news? Praying it wasn't one of yours but knowing that someone will have the pain of it being their child. It's terrible. I hate the news but always watch it.

I'm a pinko bleeding heart liberal and usually would argue the toss on suitable punishment with anybody who'll take up the challenge but when news like this has just broken I prefer not to focus my thoughts or energies on the perpetrator who I will for now just assume is very, very poorly indeed.

My thoughts remain with the families affected by actions I can never hope to comprehend.

Where is Belgo, can someone make sure she is Ok and isn't anywhere near there.

The famillies need our thoughts/prayers not the animal who did this. But yes I do agree that he must be very ill to have done something like this.

it just makes you want to keep your children safe at home forever doesn't it.

OMG how awful, if makes me want to (irrationally I know) rush over to ds's nursery and dds school and scope them up, come home and lock the door behind us. My thoughts and prayers to those poor families

how did he get access? the nurseries round here are very secure.

It's just been on the BBc news. They seem to have arrested him. I don't really know what to say apart from those poor parents are in my thoughts and prayers.

Ruty - nurseries in Belgium are not very secure as a rule. Other belgian mumsnetters I think are:

I hope none of them are affected by this.
