mosschops30 · 02/01/2009 23:16

Yawn she should do my job on my pay and see how she feels.

People like this really fuck me off, bet she doesnt have to drive her children across the city at 4am though before she goes to work and gets her hair mand make up done

FIONA PHILIPS JUST GO AND FUCK YOURSELF!!

aGalChangedHerName · 02/01/2009 23:18

FFS my heart bleeds.... not!!

goldFAQinsenceandmyrrh · 02/01/2009 23:19

well I don't particularly like the woman, but having once work in a job which involved unsociable hours I can understand where she's coming from, it did affect my relationship with my (now ex) H, and my children.l

nickschick · 02/01/2009 23:19

I liked her better than kate tho ......or even penny smith.....

wheresthehamster · 02/01/2009 23:19

Why doesn't she get her husband to help?

solidgoldsoddingjanuaryagain · 02/01/2009 23:20

I wonder how much of that article is down to what she actually said and how much of it is down to editing. Because it strikes me that her DH pressured her to stop work by being thoroughly unhelpful because he reckoned that her real job was to service him.
Basically a woman can't have a career, marriage and a family unless the man she marries is prepared to do his share of the domestic work: if he thinks it's all down to her to do then it will grind her down.
But if it were me I'd be dumping the man before the job.

lovelysongbirdie · 02/01/2009 23:20

her husband must be a right asshole

Pawslikepaddington · 02/01/2009 23:22

Gaaaaaaaaaaaaah-every time I open a minimalist cupboard I think is noone else going to sort this out-gaaaaaaaaaaah! I am speechless-if that is the least of your worries then I wish I was you!!!!!!!!

Northernlurker · 02/01/2009 23:22

If she was distraught over untidy cupboards then she should have hired help! I don't mind her not wanting to get up at 4am - I'd certainly be rowing with my husband if I did that - but just because her GMTV hours was lousy does not mean that 'women can't have it all' What about Mr Phillips huh? He still seems to be having it all - will the Daily Mail be following up next week with a nice little piece about how men ca't have it all. I don't fucking think so!

aGalChangedHerName · 02/01/2009 23:23

There are women doing worse jobs and much shittier hours with much less sleep than her.

At least she was getting great money for it,unlike most women

goldFAQinsenceandmyrrh · 02/01/2009 23:25

yes but it's the shit hours that does it, shit hours with shit husband, - been there done that (threw the t-shirt away ) - really not sustianable.

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 02/01/2009 23:25

It's the Daily Mail.

aGalChangedHerName · 02/01/2009 23:27

FAQ if you had a fraction of the money that she has coming in,would life not have been a little easier tho?

WalkingInAWonderStuffingLand · 02/01/2009 23:27

I wouldn't want to get up at 4am, but if it was a choice between a fab career and tidy cupboards...
Agree it isn't that women can't have it all, more that they shouldn't have to do everything.

goldFAQinsenceandmyrrh · 02/01/2009 23:28

no it wouldn't, money doesn't do the housework, make you calmer with the kids, or stop the rows with your husband. or make you generally less tired and grouchy

Pawslikepaddington · 02/01/2009 23:29

Exactly-once you have a cleaner and a nanny and someone to run your diary for you-i.e. tell you when you are meant to be at dc's school play/whatever, and some one to make sure the food is in the fridge and possibly the kids are fed 7/8ths of life's stresses have gone-yes, you are tired because you are up at 4am, but can't you go to sleep in make up?

aGalChangedHerName · 02/01/2009 23:34

I would happily get up at stoopid o clock every day/have a housekeeper etc/get loads of money and habe DH at home with dc and have great hols than work 60 hrs a week CMing and neglect my own dc in the process.

Heated · 02/01/2009 23:39

I used to time her, either until her first mistake or faux "I'm so ditsy" comment and turn over; invariably by 7.02am I was watching Bill and Sian.

goldFAQinsenceandmyrrh · 02/01/2009 23:40

so if other articles that I've found on-line suggest that she doesn't have a housekeeper (you know not all rich people use the services of such people you know), how is her DH at home with the kids - I thought he had a job too Confused.

I think you could have given me a cleaner (actually exH was quite good when I was working, he would do a lot of the housework in the mornings when I was asleep), a cook, and a childminder so I could sleep a little longer in the afternoon, but that wouldn't have mind the slightest bit of difference.

And actually I think she's right "no-one" can have it all - as someone else on this thread said somewhere you have to make compromises that means something along the line as to give.

Mind you if her husband is as described I agree with the person who said it should have been him that went not the job.........

cornsilk · 02/01/2009 23:43

She was crap when she interviewed Heather Mills. Actually she didn't really interview her, she just sat there looking embarrassed.

aGalChangedHerName · 02/01/2009 23:46

Who looks after her kids then? If she is at work every day at 4am and her dh has a big tv job also they must have help?

I don't think women can have it all either. If you want a big fat pay check them sacrifices have to be made don't they?

You don't earn all those ££££ for nothing do you?

If i was her tho then my dh would have to be at home or have a "smaller job" to be with the dc. If i had a regular cleaner/housekeeper them life would be easier too.

MrsSanta · 02/01/2009 23:52

I don't like her, too smug.

Northernlurker · 02/01/2009 23:57

agal - whoever was looking after the kids they obviously had a big habit of stuffing things in cupboards!
