I disagree that the Royal Family should be "setting an example" to us all; I certainly don't look to them for ideas about how to run my life. Let them marry, good luck to them. It would seem that somehow the C of E as a body has got over the objections, so I think we should just let them get on with it.

The 2 of them sicken me, as a couple. Why couldn't they have just done this 30 years ago and not ruined people lives. If they'd just been honest about their feelings in the first place.......... Gree with you snafu () Any other couple would be allowed to marry if they were in their circumstances (and would have done long before Diana's death). Just because he will be head of state and she is Catholic (not a very good one in my book but we are not supposed to judge) I can't see why there should be a difference. For that matter, can we ditch this crap about Catholics not being able to be queen too? What are they all fearing, a return to Catholicism for this country?
