here

I can't believe people can do that to their own children.

That 'Norman's' (the 'mother') attourney states that she is upset about the situation that has happened to herself and her family is nearly beyond belief.... who does he think he's fooling?!

Those poor, poor children . xx

I hate to say, but many violent thoughts have flitted through my mind regarding the 'parents'. But, following the anger, tears. I'll cry my way to bed.....

Why?

KateandtheGirls · 09/02/2005 03:01

Ugh.

Expatinscotland, are you expatKat?

expatinscotland · 09/02/2005 08:09

Nope, I'm not expatKat.

These peoples' parental rights will be terminated for sure. The court wants the girls adopted out to non-family, b/c they want to ensure the children NEVER have contact w/those monster 'parents' again.

expatinscotland · 09/02/2005 08:11

What makes it even sadder is how many lovely ladies and gentlemen out there are trying desperately for a baby they'd love and cherish. Just hope the girls find a really, really special family to call their own.

stitch · 09/02/2005 08:54

how can human beings do that?
it makes me cringe..

a tiny baby. so beautiful and helpless.
God i wish i had never ever read this thread.
i hope they burn in hell for ever and ever.

Merlot · 09/02/2005 09:09

words fail me

NameChangingMancMidlander · 09/02/2005 10:24

If it's any consolation, I should think this pair will get a very very hard time of it in prison. God knows they deserve it. Even the most hardened of criminal abhor child rapists & murderers.

lunavix · 09/02/2005 10:51

I think they deserve death... by abuse, beating with blunt objects, being blinded, having their tongues ripped out, having all their bones broken - what else did they do to their baby?

A painfree injection is just not fair, IMO.

I haven't even read the article - just judging by your reactions I know that if I had, it would stay with me forever. Not good to bury head in sand, but just imagining what those children have suffered is enough to make me sick, angry and sad.

Having dealt with a very unstable family member, I just have to say I think that there are people in the world who are very damaged individuals who can't be helped, and this couple is such a case. It goes against my Buddhist nature, but I think people like this should be killed. What good is it to keep them alive?

expatinscotland · 09/02/2005 11:43

The court's stance is that there will be no efforts to rehabilitate the biological mother and father so that they can parent again. They were already given a second chance back in 2003 when they fractured their first child's skull - something that has caused huge public outcry in Texas - the child should have been removed permanently following that incident. Instead, they abused a second child even worse, and it may very well cost that child her life. The toddler has been placed with an anonymous foster family. The baby continues to improve, but is far from out of the woods.

expatinscotland · 10/02/2005 09:17

She's improving!

Thank god. Poor little thing deserves a break.

Expat, I've just read that article. I had to close that page though.....couldn't read it all.

Those bastards should think themselves lucky if they do get killed but leathel injection, it's for to good for them and I hope to God that they do die a very painful death at the hands of someone how who will show no mercy.

Sorry I know that very very OTT but FFS that child suffered more than I could ever imagine.

expatinscotland · 10/02/2005 10:04

One of the nurses treating her said they have to work to keep what happened to this little baby out of their minds are they wouldn't be able to do their jobs for crying.

it pained me when I had to take my daughter in for her jabs. My heart goes in my throat when she trips and falls. I wish I could be sick for her instead of seeing her suffer when she has a cold. I can't imagine harming a baby in such a way.

B/c this abused child is so young, the doctors are hopeful about her recovery and particularly that she'll have full use of her tongue.

I think these 'parents' should be sterilised by force, so that if on the off chance (which is virtually nil) that they get out of prison whilst still able to procreate, they can't do this to a/one else.

expatinscotland, what, according to sentencing in Texas, do you think these monsters will get? Surely it should be attempted murder, doing that to defenceless, innocent babies. Death is really too good for them and I echo the hope that other prisoners get to them, they deserve the suffering their poor babies had to go through.

Thank God those children will get a good life now. My wishes go to them for a happy life from now, I hope the little one pulls through.

When I worked in a children's hospital there was a case of an 18-month-old who had been abused by her father. I was only 19 at the time and couldn't believe anyone could do that to their own child, how naive was that! Castration for sure, no anesthetic either.

stupidgirl · 10/02/2005 22:14

I can't believe anyone could do this to their own child. Any child. Poor little love.

biglips · 10/02/2005 22:17

SCUM ! it made my tummy turn !

GhostofNatt · 10/02/2005 22:24

this is a truly horrible story but does everybody on thsi thread really support the death penalty?

Angeliz · 10/02/2005 22:30

death would be too quick for those monsters.

Wish i hadn't read it

biglips · 11/02/2005 00:11

those people should suffer in jail for a very long time as death penalty is a quick death for them

Levanna · 11/02/2005 02:02

Expat, thanks for the update. It was good to read from your link that she's improving. Though the future mental anguish that this will cause those children is truly unthinkable. I found the denials from the 'mother's' attourney quite sickening. How could she possibly not have known?

GhostofNat, whether people who've posted do or don't believe in the death penalty? I think most of us are just displaying our very real and raw instinctive emotions on what is an extremely traumatic event. I don't, and regarding this couple I really don't, they should be made to live.

suzywong · 11/02/2005 03:58

I can't open the link ..... I don't think I really want to.

Let's hope they get what they deserve in prison
