Why are they all shouting "Shame on You" towards the police - when it was the RNLI who brought them all to shore?

Surly they should be shouting this towards the lifeboat crews....?

So let's get this right, you would prefer that the migrant dinghy requests help whilst in French waters that they then refuse when it arrives.

They then only accept assistance when they are in British waters in the middle of the English Channel and only from the RNLI vessel not the French vessel or any other nearby vessel and then only if they are taken to the UK. Putting the rescuers at greater risk, otherwise they will refuse assistance.

Choosing when, where, by whom you get rescued and where you get taken to sounds closer to a taxi service than an urgent maritime rescue.

I think the French shadow so help won’t be requested usually, but they’ll be there already. For the RNLI that’s request only and the coastguard has to deploy them.

The law means people will wait until across the sea border, but it’s not really anyone’s fault here as everyone is doing their jobs. But more a system which causes difficult incentives.

Portsmouth protesters mobbed the Pakistani under 19 cricket team and had to be coaxed away by a Reform councillor.

Soon, just attack any brown men because you can't tell your arse from your elbow.

Shows how thick these people are.

@1dayatatime - what are you trying to achieve on this thread?
You are constantly referring to the RNLI as a 'taxi service' but you are apparently failing to recognise that the RNLI will help anyone who needs their help and they won't give a stuff about what has happened prior to their engagement.
If you wish to change the way the RNLI operates I'd suggest you get involved with the organistion, go out on their boats and once you really understand what they are about you might reconsider. Link for you enclosed

As a little thought experiment for you - if any of the laughably labelled 'brave boys' in Portsmouth had got into trouble in the water on Sunday, the RNLI would have helped them despite the fact that they have tried their hardest to undermine what the RNLI does. Why do you think that might be?

Actually if any vessel had got into trouble and required assistance on Sunday then they would have had a problem because both the Portsmouth and Southampton offshore life boats were in the middle of the English Channel assisting the migrant dinghy (after the dinghy had refused an offer of help from the French) and therefore wouldn't have been available to help anyone else.

Notonthestairs · 09/09/2026 22:35

So we should all donate more to the RNLI to fund more boats?
excellent suggestion.

It’s nuts that a critical emergency service is run off charity but there we are. Let’s give them our support.

The same if they are attending any emergency.

You can’t pick and choose which ones they are tied up with!

Waiting for any emergency service can happen. This is not different.

As launches to small boats makes up only 1.2% of total launches, the probability of the RNLI being elsewhere, due to small boats is tiny.

Much more likely that the RNLI are attending the 98.8% of other call outs.

Yep. I think lots of people have done this. Fuck Thompson and his masked men. There are far more of us than there are of them.

Peacefully mobbed a hotel where the Pakistani under-19 cricket team were staying because they saw a group of-shock horror- brown men?
Danny Thomas working class? He's a privately educated man who was jailed for two years for abducting another man with a knife.
These are the protectors of women and children?

The police have always had certain powers around face coverings under section 60AA of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994.

Also the banning of balaclavas is in one council, Nottingham.

ClaudettedeBeauvoir · 10/09/2026 08:35

NoisyBrickDog · 08/09/2026 09:30

Exactly - and what do they expect the police to do - just allow the people to run off into the country

I just don't understand what the the protesters were shouting about

That's because they don't know what they're shouting about.

The mobbing of the hotel was reported by the Telegraph and Danny Thomas' background by the Daily Mail. Are they establishment? Are they generally ' woke'?
Are you suggesting they made up his criminal record? Can you prove he is not a convicted criminal?

So there wasn't a crowd of people at the hotel where the Pakistani cricket team were staying and Thompson never went to jail? Is that what you are saying?

So you're denying that they mobbed the hotel where the Pakistani U-19s were staying? Do you think 'the media' made that up?

Bikenutz · 10/09/2026 08:49

What this thread shows is that the vast majority of people recognise the vital work of RNLI volunteers and reject the actions of those masked men in black who are supposedly fighting for the safety of us women and our children. Not in my name.

TemperanceWest · 10/09/2026 08:51

Can anyone explain why it has been for years that Antifa thugs have dished out violence and intimidation dressed in black with face masks and balaclavas, yet no ban on face coverings has ever been proposed?

Because we live in a highly tolerant society and don't want to police how people dress. I think it's only Farage that is suggesting banning face coverings?

I would prefer it if threatening men in masks didn't try to intimidate feminists and the RNLI or steal phones, but I can see why we would have laws that target the crime rather than the clothes.

And can anyone explain why when groups of working class men

Daniel Thomas is privately educated, and if he was taking tips from Tommy Robinson, he used the football hooligan network to gather a crowd.

to peacefully protest against the threat posed to our women and children

Threatening RNLI crew?

I have concerns about mass immigration. I don't think anyone of them will be eased by a bunch of thugs intimidating and threatening people who are not white and the RNLI. Especially as I have a son who looks like a Pakistani cricketer.
