MOlly if you think anyone has it in for newbies you are very much mistaken (and pretty young based on your post on the other thread so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt)

Most people have the attention span of a gnat (including me) and apart from a few people who stick in the memory, I generally have no idea how long anyone has been posting and only respond to the contetn of their posts. This idea that newbies are deliberately picked on is farcical and attributes most of us an attention span which is generally undeserved.

Littlelapin is one of the posters who sticks in the memory because she has done some extraordinary kind things for Mumsnetters in need. But do by all means trawl across the board laughing about how mean she is and how much we hate you because she really won't care much (I say much because she is a very nice person and will probably care a little) and you will just make yourself look a little foolish.

OK I've stopped laughing now, its not funny anymore.
