you're barking mad Molly - read the responses - they weren;t nasty they were just saying why would you care. If you had stayed out of it then when OP came back and said she was mortified about posting something silly then everyone would have said "oh don't feel silly this is the way it goes, if you're interested you keep posting".

It didn't need you to pile in repeatedly because (you might not know) that the early poster are actually very nice people who just stated their views and your comments have just inflamed the situation.

I too opened the thread thinking "are they really?" Bit disingenuous to scoff as if it's a ludicrous thing to post about ... as JV says, there are lots of threads about gossipy stuff like this.

And it does seem as if other people were rude first, molly got annoyed by it and then somehow that became her fault . And then it was "god molly, move on!"

In RL I would have found that extremely annoying...
