Mercy · 02/05/2008 21:47

yeah, fox, do you have a 'secret source'?

MerryMarigold · 02/05/2008 21:51

so how are they working out the 1st choice and 2nd choice thing again?

DefinitelyNotMARINAWheeler · 02/05/2008 21:51

fox, where did you get that stat?

policywonk · 02/05/2008 21:52

Merry - as the minor candidates are eliminated, their voters' second-choice votes get reallocated to the relevant candidates until only two are left standing.

MerryMarigold · 02/05/2008 21:53

oh thanks, policy. i guess my second vote was worthless then...

MerryMarigold · 02/05/2008 21:54

foxinsocks is not spilling...

Mercy · 02/05/2008 21:54

Apparently the final count won't be until midnight.

I can't wait that long (started on the wine ages ago thinking it would be at 6)

wobbegong · 02/05/2008 21:55

Oh god, if Boris gets in I'll be so miserable. I used to come across him in my job (before DD was born- when I used to do high-falutin' things in parliament and not just sit on the sofa all day covered in baby sick). He is one of those tit-staring types. Not Good.

Also I can't believe people have fallen for the idea that he is an amiable buffoon. He isn't, he's a lying shagger without a single coherent policy. Even Mr newt-fancier looks good next to him.

ARRRRRRGH what is the world coming to? And if they get rid of bendy buses how the hell will I get the buggy on the Number 73 when there are always three of us jammed up?

bluewolf · 02/05/2008 21:55

Lambeth - carpe cutler! (seize the knife). It's not quite Dead Poets Society but stabbingly relevant

foxinsocks · 02/05/2008 21:56

Lewisham and Greenwich, 6th constituency in, Ken 63043 Boris 51151
(1st preferences....on Sky at the moment)

I'm amazed how many Boris voters are there in what is not a v tory area

Boris still ahead

MerryMarigold · 02/05/2008 21:56

love it, bluewolf!

WILL PEOPLE PLEASE STOP POSTING AS THOUGH THE RESULT HAS COME THROUGH

where did you think you saw it confirmed?cant find it definitely confirmed -lots of Yes maybe

policywonk · 02/05/2008 21:57

LOL at Sky news. You're talking to a bunch of lefties, fox. We won't have Sky in the house.

MerryMarigold · 02/05/2008 21:57

wobbegong, i can just imagine him as the 'tit staring' type. really, i can. and really not good.

MerryMarigold · 02/05/2008 21:59

so, it's only first preferences being covered at the mo...by Fox, who is the only one with Sky.

policywonk · 02/05/2008 21:59

'By bluewolf on Fri 02-May-08 20:37:26

I can't fucking believe it! Boris really has won!!'

I read this and thought that they had announced that he had won.

foxinsocks · 02/05/2008 21:59

we have the wires up .

Policy, you utter anti ponce you .

2nd counts only counted if the 1st counts aren't enough to give one person victory (I think, not sure, this means if one of them hasn't polled 50%)

scottishmummy · 02/05/2008 22:00

okay.i thought you had a whisper

MerryMarigold · 02/05/2008 22:00

Is it on bbc news 24?!

DefinitelyNotMARINAWheeler · 02/05/2008 22:00

fox, "Lewisham and Greenwich" includes non-Ken bastions such as Lee and Eltham, I'd say loads of those Borisites were in the Greenwich half of that constituency
