Anyone else totally PTSL at Hillary Clinton and her sniperfire fantasy?

Describing how she got off a plane under sniper fire and had to run for it - only to have the footage of the actual trip appear, showing no such thing and her hugging children!

I WET myself laughing!

But not so funny is her attitude that "Oh well. so what, I'm only human."

Only human? So what is that? It's ok to lie about this stuff? Or that we all forget that we have never been shot at?

Well, I stepped out of my house this morning and had to take a dive into my begonias when a volley of shots took me by surprise - my neighbour was taking pot shots at me from his shed. Oh no, wait a minute, I forgot. That never happened.

I can't imagine how bad someone must be to think that they'll get away with that - she must have known there'd be footage around, is she THAT far removed from reality - or thinks she's untouchable? And if she'll tell such stupid lies now, what the hell will she do if she gets elected?

They don't impeach just anybody you know. I don't really have time to go into it. I think it's generally accepted that Clintons are scum.

I can appreciate that he was a great politician. He was. He has charisma and he could charm a rock. But, he is still liar.

Oh, and let's not forgot those 11th hour pardons. THAT was disgraceful.

AtheneNoctua · 27/03/2008 15:28

You might remember the lovely Marc Rich.

Perjury is a crime. It is lying in court, and I don't care if you're the president or John Q. Public, when people start getting away with having so little respect for the law then you get the mess that society is in right now.

And yes, I did vote for Clinton, twice.

He lost my respect when he lied in court.

I'm a Democrat and a liberal, but I was brought up to have respect for the people who gave and continue to give so much for the framework that is the American government, I believe it works best for that nation, and it's more than disappointing when your president besmerches that.

As a result, I don't have a lot of trust for Bilary.

That pretty much killed it for me.

AtheneNoctua · 27/03/2008 15:33

Is that it? Come on, you have given no evidence for his defense. Just false unrelated accusations. I'm sure someone else will come along to help you.

expatinscotland · 27/03/2008 15:34

'A lot of other people can see that the impeachment and the investigation for what they were, witch-hunting by sore loser republicans who never got over losing the White House twice or the exposure of Dickie Nixon way back when'

A lot of people who never lived there and certainly not when that was going on think that, it's more of the propoganda BBC types put out.

Yes, I've been here long enough to recognise their bias, it isn't hard to spot.

But I was there, and it was shocking for a lot of people at the time, no matter what their political beliefs, many of whom - like me - don't remember the Nixon thing.

AtheneNoctua · 27/03/2008 15:34

The last post was for Dittany, not Expat.

AtheneNoctua · 27/03/2008 15:35

And who calls him Dickie Nixon????

expatinscotland · 27/03/2008 15:39

I did have lunch in the Watergate Hotel one time .

And I did work as a page for a Texas senator - D, as a teen.

AtheneNoctua · 27/03/2008 15:41

Hey, expat, have you ordered your goodies for arrival in Chicago? Don't forget.

expatinscotland · 27/03/2008 15:46

I need to phone them! I think the order went through, but the site crashed so I'm not sure and I don't have time to wait for my credit card statement.

Billary.

LOL.

I forgot about that.

My dad always calls them Billary.

My dad's a Republican btw. But even he said, 'At least Hillary had a job. You notice Bill never had a job? He was always a politician whilst at least Hillary worked to earn her crust.'

AtheneNoctua · 27/03/2008 15:48

Guess that's why he had all that spare time in the Oval office.

expatinscotland · 27/03/2008 15:51

Slick Willie.

He lied under oath, dittany.

That is perjury.

expatinscotland · 27/03/2008 15:55

Excuse me? I lived there at the time.

I campaigned for Clinton - first election.

I almost got caught up in all that rat race.

Then there was Hillary and that whole thing with that chap who shot himself on the Mall - god, what was his name? Can't remember.

That one was hushed up. Like something out of a movie. You couldn't make that stuff up.

I remember that one haunting, horrible part of his note - his widow allowed it to be published: 'this is a place where people ruin a man's life for sport' or something to that effect.

Haunted me for days. Still does.

What was the word that he wanted to define? Was is "sex"? Now that was funny. Like he didn't know what it meant?

AtheneNoctua · 27/03/2008 16:00

I'm sorry. Did you just imply that the American press has a conservative bias?

expatinscotland · 27/03/2008 16:01

You're starting to make me laugh, dittany. I know you don't mean to, but you are.

Did you know him? Did he tell you he was part of a Republican smear before he topped himself?

And let's not forget the witnesses in the whitewater case thet turned up dead when they were due to testify.

Oh yes, and Clinton pardoned Susan MacDougal. Nothing dodgy going on there.

Dittany, have you noticed that the staunch Republican and the Staunch Democrat think your argumants are silly. Now that says something.

Just campaign for Obama. He's not a Republican.
