She's awful, arrogant, patronising, egotistical, absimal, talks from the hip. Jeremy fawns all over her. I just have to turn her off every time.

NorthernLurker · 17/03/2008 17:15

He got his comeuppance a few months ago - started off all depressing about how they would be talking about a young mum who had killed herself because she was terminally ill - gloom, doom - dark tone of voice - an hour later he was sheepishly saying they wouldn't be doing that item as they had had calls from her families solicitor or something - saying the facts of what happened had not been established and would he kindly shut up!

CluckyTheChicken · 17/03/2008 17:17

This is why I can't bear JV

It's like listrening to the Talk Sport Jon Gaunt phone ins.

(DP listens to talk sport shall I bin him for it?)

moondog · 17/03/2008 17:17

Yes, he needs a swift kick in the goolies and all.
hinks he so hip because he once listened to a Clash record and pogo'd in student union.

In fact, most DJs are nobboids

pointedegg · 17/03/2008 17:22

Are radio phone-ins with doctors popular? I'd've thought not. So Radio Doctor might get a teeny bit contraversial in an effort to wake up the dozing audience.

sorkycake · 17/03/2008 17:26

She's not controversial tho pointy she's crap!

It's the ever-so-understanding-"that-must-really-hurt" voice I can't stand.

She feels everyones pain.... really she does

bossybritches · 17/03/2008 22:08

Is it me or does she sound desperately adenoidal to you?

EVERY time she's on she sounds like she has just got over a stinking cold??!!!

Tinker · 17/03/2008 22:32

She's got a really, really actressy voice. NO WAY is she only 37. NO WAY.

Tinker · 17/03/2008 22:34

NO WAY

GermaineSneer · 18/03/2008 08:05

ditto nO WAY

gOD,HAVE TO COME ON AGAIN AND BLEAT about how fecking awful that woman is.

carolcupcake · 18/03/2008 08:39

I've seen her on the One Show and she always looks a total mess. I watch in fascination to see what god awful granny outfit from Littlewoods circa 1982 she is going to turn up in next.
It means I don't really listen to what she says, but is she really 37?????

bossybritches · 18/03/2008 08:53

Germaine-

Well I found two Sarah Jarvis' on the GMC register for GP's one for 1986-0ne for 1993.(when they completed their training of at least 6 years)

Given that she would have to have been AT LEAST 24/25 when she qualified........doesn't quite add up.

yurt1 · 18/03/2008 08:58

Oh she is utterly dreadful. I turn her off (stops me shouting at the radio).

SilentTerror · 18/03/2008 09:47

Cannot be 37 I don't t hink. My husband is a gp,he qualified as a doctor in 1990 and then took years doing hospital jobs before gp training. He is 42 now.

UnquietDad · 18/03/2008 09:49

Do you think Jezza only has her on because her fancies her?

rebelmum1 · 18/03/2008 12:53

I've had to come back again today too and have another pop.. she was saying ever so patronisingly once that doctors shouldn't be questioned by proles as they had 10 years training so knew far better than us ( 'I can assure you ahh ha ha'). Has training gone increased? I thought it was 5 years to qualify to be a medical doctor.. which is actually a year short of all other doctrates.

rebelmum1 · 18/03/2008 12:54

oh god I said 'gone increased' ..

GermaineSneer · 18/03/2008 14:10

silent teror get youd h to FIND OUT

OP posts:
Iklboo · 18/03/2008 14:14

I'd say not 37. I work for a regulatory body and it don't add up
