WideWebWitch · 15/03/2008 10:43

from me too on 'celeb posters'

Who decided on them then?

S1ur · 15/03/2008 10:43

Oh Boco, what will become of us its a world gawn maaad.

Nothing is sacred in postmodernity.

dragonbutter · 15/03/2008 10:44

I think it was mean thing to do to those posters. Newbies will feel intimidated or start worshipping. Not good.

the posters consented - and CM has been known to lurk

OP posts:
Boco · 15/03/2008 10:45

I think they'll struggle on through (bet they're well chuffed, they were all interviewed by CM, they knew they'd be getting a mention, good for them!)

www I did. Cm is sooo indecisive, she can't get dressed without texting me. sheesh.

I gave a list, of about a dozen, she clearly didn't read the whole thing. lazy girl.

Y'know she begged me to write the thing for her too, but I refused.

YOU DON'T TALK ABOUT MUMSNET!!!!

BumperliciousIsStillNotDressed · 15/03/2008 10:46

Will you all stop saying post modern! I don't get it!

Walnutshell · 15/03/2008 10:46

Well I still think it was just one woman's perspective of what MN offers and would entice people in.

And really we'd all be had we been mentioned...

Boco · 15/03/2008 10:46

It's not all folks slagging Cod, everyone likes the article - some don't agree with the celeb bit.

poor old 'celebrity' posters - now their every utterance will be observed by the massess - what if it doesn't hit the mark set by the Times?

I agree with Twiglett too - no issue at all with those posters, but the irony of the 'we are all equal and don't promote celebrity posters', and then the following list did jump out at me.

roisin · 15/03/2008 10:52

I liked the article. And the individual character bits added to it, and improved it: made it all seem more real, more like mumsnet.

She happened to choose those 4 individuals - but could easily have chosen any one from hundreds of other recognised characters on here.
