Who else sympathises with Heather Mills?

Just saw an item about her and Macca's divorce hearing today. OF COURSE if you ask a lawyer, he/she will say Heather should have legal representation. They are not going to admit to being useless are they? Another comment about her was that she was limping. Well she does only have one leg!
And why is it on the news at all when the hearing is going to take all week, so there really is no news till the judgment is made.

I like the MacCartney ditties as much as any one but it's no reason to be so biassed against poor Heather after the sad break up of this marriage.

Bubble, how do you do it?

Do you have some sort of MN Heather Mills chat alarm?!

(How the devil are you, anyway? Up for a secret meet-up soon?)

i sympathise with her for the bad press shes had. most celeb marriages are for the banefit of those involved be it money or publicity gains. she married an extremely wealthy man probably on the grounds that she knew she would make a killing in a divorce (prob a bit naive) he has married her for all the publicity that would be attracted for the age gap etc to give his continuing career a leg up. they are both as bad as eachother but she is the one being ripped to bits by the press. if it was the other way around and it was a younger man doing the same to an older woman it prob wouldnt make the front page for longer than a day or two.

Yes, but WHY is she hounded by paps?

You can live a private life in the public eye, I'm sure...

If you WANT TO.

NAB3wishesfor2008 · 11/02/2008 21:38

OH FGS give it a rest.

I really dislike the woman. I think she has a bloody cheek asking for £55million. NOONE needs that amount of money. If he had been Paul Binman would she have gone near him so YES she went with him for his money imo. Happy now?

hunkermunker · 11/02/2008 21:38

I heard a radio presenter the other day saying that his friend's mum had found a new artist she liked and had he (the friend) heard of him (the artist)?

Who was it?

Sting.

She had never heard of him.

Not saying I believe Heather Mills (I don't), but how incredible for somebody to live, what, 30-odd years on the same planet as someone pretty damn famous and never have heard of them. Not just their music, but on chat shows, interviews in the paper, etc, etc.

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 11/02/2008 21:39

Its that what she charges? 4 million for lying on her back?

Gosh I know the press reckon she was a hooker but I did not know you could earn that much!!

PaulaYatesbiggestFan · 11/02/2008 21:40

i made two comments NAB 'give it a rest'

you wanted a rise - you got one

oh yeah FGS

fletchaaarr · 11/02/2008 21:40

"when you represent yourself in court then you have to realise that you have a fool for a client"

NAB3wishesfor2008 · 11/02/2008 21:41

I didn't want a rise. I made my point. You carried it on.

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 11/02/2008 21:43

By eck.I'll bloody bang thee heads togther.

Cam · 11/02/2008 21:43

I wish I'd never heard of Sting

NAB3wishesfor2008 · 11/02/2008 21:43

No need.

I don't get the point.

I said what I thought, someone else didn't like it.

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 11/02/2008 21:44

Now he IS an egomaniac and his wife really does get on my tits

Bubble99 · 11/02/2008 21:44

Munker. I have a Grrrrradar.

I wish she'd shut up about the amount of charity work she does.

And I chuckled when she got bitten by the seal pup. Sorry.

LieselVonTrapp · 11/02/2008 21:45

sting can fuck off an all

notnowbernard · 11/02/2008 21:46

And Bono

Elasticwoman · 11/02/2008 21:46

it is so not the point that Sir Paul is not a binman. We marry some one for their whole persona, of which their status and way of making money are two aspects. I don't think I would have got together with a binman myself - does that make me a scheming freeloader or prostitute? My dh doesn't think so, so I guess I don't really need NAB's opinion on that.

fletchaaarr · 11/02/2008 21:52

Thing is that you know nothing about either of them, how they really are, how their real personas have been distorted by the press..... and neither do I

And i don't read taboids or little glossies

LieselVonTrapp · 11/02/2008 21:52

what a champ

expatinscotland · 11/02/2008 21:57

i can't say i do, elasticwoman.

i don't sympathise with him, either, because he was such a fool not to see through that.

they're both eejits not worthy of a thought, much less sympathy.

Charliechange · 11/02/2008 21:58

The thing that I am interested in is how loopy would it send you if you married a man who was idolised by the general public, you find out that he is a bastard - you live with it for a while he is never going to change,
you decide to split and you are called all the names under the sun by the press because they won't sell papers that suggest that he is anything other than a saint.
You are a gold digger, you are a whore.

When it all comes out in the wash we will understand that yes she is loopy manipulative a bit fake but he has acted totally inappropriately and unacceptably in any marriage and is not a saint. None of this thread seems to have a concern for what has occured to make her feel so venomous.

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 11/02/2008 21:59

sussed her out?

Bubble99 · 11/02/2008 22:09

Thing is, Charlie. Most of the anti stuff in the press started after she had started bad-mouthing him, IIRC. Initially I think most people (and I was one of them) thought that it was lovely that he had met someone as he was obviously so sad after losing his wife.

Whatever the state of their marriage - and I have no doubts that he is a PITA, slandering the father of your child in the press is a shitty thing to do to a three year old who will be able to read all about it in the future.
