BBC News - Nicola Bulley: Partner describes perpetual hell over missing mum
www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-lancashire-64450243

Just been reading about this. How awful for her partner and children. Really hope she is found soon

I'm fairly sure the police will know the answers to your questions.

Yes I know. I’m just asking if anyone has seen it anywhere. It says N is a mortgage advisor but nothing about husband job.

Catstaps · 02/02/2023 19:58

What’s her husbands job got to do with anything

Stomacharmeleon · 02/02/2023 20:04

Her husband/ partner I imagine is somewhat busy looking after their daughters. What does it matter what he does for a profession? I think all the insinuating and picking is so distasteful. If the police think it's him they will act.

If he was working from home on his own I guess…

I see.

Bluekerfuffle · 02/02/2023 20:07

This is from the latest Daily Mail article.
*9.35am (approximately) – Nicola's mobile phone and Willow were found at a bench by the river by another dog-walker.

The dog's harness was found on a bench along with her phone, which is still connected to a work conference call.
The dog's lead was on the floor.

10.15am - The alarm is raised around an hour later by a walker who finds her springer spaniel Willow running lose.*

The reported story seems to keep changing a bit, so who knows what the exact facts really are. It seems odd that someone found the abandoned phone and dog at 9:35 but didn’t report it. It says a second person found the dog running loose at 10:15 and reported it.

Not sure what relevance that has. She was seen on the dog walk on her own.

I’ve searched through lots of articles and can’t see anywhere what NB’s husband does for a living or what his location was when he reviewed the phone call to alert him of the found dog. Does he have an alibi for when she went missing? Also notable he wasn’t on the appeal video with family. There would of course be legitimate reasons for this.

Does it matter what he does for living ?
im pretty sure the police know whether he’s got an alibi.

you remind me of someone in this thread that was keen to make the partner guilty.

Yes you’re right and apologies if it came across distasteful. I was just wondering.

Sorry I think it is really off to insinuate this might be linked to DV when there is no evidence of that whatsoever.

Of course none of us know what has happened to her and of course her family are clinging on to the hope that she might just be out there, somewhere, waiting to come home. But sorry - you don’t “LTB” by disappearing with nothing in the middle of a field and letting your children assume you are dead and it’s just cruel to everyone involved to suggest that is what has happened on the basis of nothing at all.

I'm surprised this thread is allowed tbh. Desperation depression duplicity and domestic abuse seems to crop up time and time again on these forums...others have also theorised...but I think we all are praying she's found unharmed. Mother's have historically made decisions to leave their children because 'it's for the best'...it's not something they do on a whim though. We don't know but I'd rather that than the alternative

Catstaps · 02/02/2023 20:11

The police would have checked his whereabouts.. alibi etc.

Allgoodthings1 · 02/02/2023 20:12

Just watched the video of the walk too. It really is quite out in the middle of nowhere isn’t it. I’m just basing it on where I feel safe walking my dog and where I wouldn’t and there is one bit like that on my walk when cutting from one busy area to another that I really hate and sometimes run through if alone. Ridiculous really that we have to think like this. You just rely on the fact other people are walking there too though and it seems quite a few other people were out a walk at the same time, you’d imagine that would be one of the busiest dog walking times. I thought the gate behind the bench instantly went out onto the campsite but in that video it seems it’s back alone the path a bit? If someone has taken her they would have been quite likely to bump into someone when heading back towards the campsite (if that’s the only way you could go other than across the river). It really doesn’t make sense.

The video really makes you realise how a completely normal everyday walk that she went on assuming everything would be fine can just turn into this huge police operation 😔

So I have just seen a video showing the walk from the school to the bench on DM. The entire walk took just over 6 minutes. There are nothing to see on the sides so safe to assume she must have walked non stop and got to the bench before 9am, possibly before 8.53am when she sent the email.

On the tree behind the bench there is a little board saying "Dogs must be on lead at all times"

So she stopped somewhere around the bench to write and send the email.

Perhaps Willow was running loose but with the lead on while she was sending the email and logging into the call.

Then something happened that took the lead off.

Is it likely that she passed the bench and walked further on and then looped back?

From what I've read it does sound like that's what she did. She was seen in the top field by the dog walking man I think.

Fedupnowhadenough · 02/02/2023 20:24

The poor little girls they won’t understand what’s happening. I really hope they find her

Very confusing for them, but they are safe thankfully

TintyMinty · 02/02/2023 21:04

Just heard on news that the cordoning off of the bench was for H&S as it’s muddy with slippery rather than forensic crime scene…..

Dunnoburt · 02/02/2023 21:13

I've just seen the evening news...her dad said it's a walk she does every day.....the bench is just at the entrance to a copse....someone who does something like clockwork at the same time, same place, most days, in a secluded area- it would give some "sicko" who's been scouting a massive opportunity......always the same time, always sits on the bench, always headphones on, always let's the dog off.....its terrible, I hope they find her safe and unharmed ❤️❤️❤️

newfence · 02/02/2023 21:40

I still don't get why her disappearing is more important than other missing persons cases?

Is that really necessary? It isn't more important but it's made the headlines and two little girls are waiting for their mum to come home.

It's not.....why would you feel the need to say that? I hope they find her, for the sake of the children

GenD · 02/02/2023 22:12

It's in the media because there is something unusual about her disappearance that hasn't been shared yet.

I don't like the look of that walk at all, creepy path and the last bit with the bench is just so isolated. I am curious why she took that isolated walk by herself every day rather than walking with a friend occasionally or a differ route. It isn't very typical as a after school run doggie walk.

That being said I hope she disappears and it can all be worked out in the end.

GenD · 02/02/2023 22:13

disappeared (as in wanted to)

itsnote · 02/02/2023 22:35

"It isn't very typical as a after school run doggie walk."

It's literally around the corner from school and a very normal place to walk the dog.

Cosmos123 · 02/02/2023 22:38

How can a woman totally disappear like this?

In broad daylight.

And they have checked the river.

Very scary and totally sad.
