like hot asian babes. or somesuch

sandcastles · 04/02/2008 21:57

I have an open mind, but don't see how a toddler wearing a T with MILF on it, is not offensive...

Regardless of how I feel about the word.

and i was pissed off in tesco when i saw a top/ romper suit that said 'does my bum look big in this?' some of these things are terrible.

TheDuchessOfNorksBride · 04/02/2008 22:34

The 'My Mom is a MILF' t-shirt is completely weirdy if you read out the MILF acronym rather than as a word in it's own right.

Who'd want their DC to say that? Bleurgh!

Thise t-shirts are just vile - I agree with whoever said above that they are getting harder to avoid - not just in the supermarkets. I like Zara but there are definitely some translation problems as you get weird combinations of words on their tops that just put me off buying them.

And it does annoy me when they sell bibs etc (which I don't mind slogans on as they are usually gunk covered in seconds anyway) which say things like "Daddy's favourite girl" - I picked up a twin pack of bibs the other day as the one on top said "I love Daddy", but wouldn't buy it 'cos of the other "favourite" one - if I bought that for DD3 I'd have 2 other p'ed off kids!!

And just as bad as the slogans are the Playboy logos - DD2 came back from town a few years back with a Playboy pencil case from Smiths - she just thought it was a cute bunny logo, didn't think about what the name meant.

MsHighwater · 04/02/2008 23:40

I can't believe that anyone would put "All Daddy wanted was a blowjob" on their small child!

Some made me giggle but most are vile. I tend to avoid slogan things because I find most of them, while funny enough to read (in some cases), either inappropriate or naff as an article of clothing.

LadyVictorianSqualor · 04/02/2008 23:47

I'm not too bothered about the boob ones, I think I prefer breastfeeding type t-shirts on women though thanks.

I've been given ones for DS that I dont like, things saying about him being a terror and naughty and stuff liek that, why would you want to label your child as naughty? Is being naughty funny? Thought not.

The sex ones are just crude IMO, funny as an idea, but once they get printed they lose all humour.

MummyPenguin · 05/02/2008 23:39

Most of them are gross. I agree that the ipood ipeed (groan) ones aren't too bad, along with the pre-school one. Binge drinker and boob man are vaguely amusing. The others nasty though.

My DS has a t-shirt that says "if momma aint happy aint nobody happy."

My two DS's have one that says "Sister for sale - any offer accepted." They wanted those as they thought they were funny, a wind up for DD. Both courtesy of Primark.

VeronicaMars · 05/02/2008 23:52

I saw one that said 'I ate my twin'!
Don't find them funny at all.

nappyaddict · 04/03/2008 09:40

i dont mind cuter than baby jesus, the preschool one, ipood, ipeed, motha sucka, pardon my nipple breath, i'm more of a boob man but i know a lot of people on here would probably hate them. i personally hate cheeky monkey ones aswell.

JingleyJen · 04/03/2008 09:44

I saw one in tesco last week it said.. so many girls.. so many choices..
I think they were trying to swap the phrase and make it womens lib but I really didn't read it like that.

nappyaddict · 04/03/2008 10:26

those of you who think my mum's a milf is offensive would you also dislike my mum's a fox?

madamez · 04/03/2008 10:32

Well if you don't want your DC to wear slogan t-shirts, don't buy them. And if they get given one as a gift, I suppose you could 'lose' it or boil wash it or something. But otherwise, there are rather more important things to get your undies in a bundle about than what other people choose to dress their children in.

cupsoftea · 04/03/2008 10:35

some are funny - others awful. I like the ipeed & ipood!!!

nappyaddict · 04/03/2008 11:00

anyone know where i can get a cheaper alternative to this

Cadbury · 04/03/2008 11:12

Someof those were ok butI would think carefully about my child wearing them. Others were down right offensive.

Btw, can someone explain to me what a MILF is?

nappyaddict · 04/03/2008 11:14

My Mother is a Mother I'd like to fuck! What a lovely sentiment for the little one to broadcast to the world. What idiot worries about the sexualisation of our young when we have gems like this on babies clothes!

nappyaddict · 04/03/2008 12:33

what do people think of this

i like it cos it's good to spread the word about global warming ....

but i dislike it cos it uses the word stupid and the second reason i dislike it is cos the word is actually spelled/spelt (never know which one it is ironically) wrong.

nametaken · 04/03/2008 13:49

I saw a newborn's babygrow with

"been inside for 9 months"

on it which I thought was really cute
