tammylove - apparently your opinions are worthless - please leave the forum!

popsycal · 01/12/2004 13:55

read spacemonkey's post properly.....

Uwila · 01/12/2004 13:56

Ok, I'm sorry for the abrupt subject change, but do we really have a spacedonkey and a spacemonkey on this site?

funny....

I feel like my names is so dull. Maybe I should change it. Just kidding, of course.

spacedonkey · 01/12/2004 13:56

JoolsTide, do you have a valid point or are you just shit stirring for the fun of it?

popsycal · 01/12/2004 13:56

spacemonkey is spacedonkey

spacedonkey · 01/12/2004 13:57

Sorry Uwila, it's my festive name. This thread doesn't make me feel very festive though. Bloody depressing.

tammylove · 01/12/2004 13:58

I would be devastated if my children did half the crime they did. But i will tell you this much, we are all basing our posts on assumptions as NONE of us were there, or know them.

As for newspapers, yes they do stretch the truth, but not the whole story.
I feel these monsters are been made to look like victims and where are the facts for that assumption.

SantaandtheReindeer · 01/12/2004 13:59

Singingmum,

Your sentence "My uncle commited and continues to commit a crime worse than murder" made me stop in my tracks, yet noone else seems to have picked up on it.

I don't know anything about your uncle and what he does, but I find it hard to believe there is a crime worse than murder.

Uwila · 01/12/2004 13:59

Joolstoo, that post was out of line. Twat can stay, and she can express her views.

Furthermore, it's worth exploring if these boys were ill or if they were cold blooded murders. I'm not really sure what I think. But there may be peopl eon the=is thread who do know more facts and can enlighted the rest of us.

popsycal · 01/12/2004 13:59

I picked up on it too. But didn't want to pry as it sounded personal

SantaandtheReindeer · 01/12/2004 14:00

I think Jools was being sarcastic. (Correct me if I'm wrong.)

spacedonkey · 01/12/2004 14:00

No tammy, none of us actually know the facts about T&V at all, that is why we shouldn't be bandying about rubbish from tabloids as if it is fact.

I thought we were discussing the more general issues that this case highlights. About the criminal justice system. And why this sort of crime happens in the first place.

fastasleep · 01/12/2004 14:01

santa, there are crimes worse than being killed in my opinion - james bulgar was tortured horribly and then killed, what if he was at home and it was a member of his family, locking him up and torturing him every day? That in my opinion is worse than murder!

tammylove · 01/12/2004 14:02

Ok then the criminal justice system is backward and i do have FACT for that.

popsycal · 01/12/2004 14:02

and the fact is

Uwila · 01/12/2004 14:02

Oh sh*t, that was meant for joolstide. Hope I didn't upset joolstoo (assuming thisn't her festive name).

JoolsTide · 01/12/2004 14:02

Uwila - why out of line?

I was being sarcastic as that seems to be the order of the day. Of course I don't want tammylove to leave - I find her refreshing!

spacedonkey · 01/12/2004 14:03

Would you care to elaborate then tammy?

motherinfestivemood · 01/12/2004 14:03

I've not posted on this thread so far. But something has struck me: that in many ways release - even release with some degree of protection - is presumably worse for them than prison. Even if, as some of you assume, they feel absolutely nothing about the fact they killed a two year old, how can they really feel physically safe? How do they know that anyone who does know their identity hasn't revealed it? Someone's said 'what about when they marry and have children': realistically, how can they build a close relationship with another adult, with this history unrevealed between them? Think about it (it'll probably cheer some of you up, won't it).

And that's quite separate from how they must feel if they do in fact feel sorrow and horror for the acts they committed. Every time they see a child. Every time they see a CCTV camera. A train. A railway line. A packet of batteries. I cannot imagine the hell they inhabit.

popsycal · 01/12/2004 14:03

(uwila - joolstide is joolstoo)

tammylove · 01/12/2004 14:03

I think all violent crime is sad but i agree murder has to be the worse by far.

Oh sorry Jools, i forgot to leave....oops.

SantaandtheReindeer · 01/12/2004 14:04

(We've all changed our names today. )

spacedonkey · 01/12/2004 14:05

Good post MI.

Uwila · 01/12/2004 14:06

Oh sh*t, that was meant for joolstide. Hope I didn't upset joolstoo (assuming thisn't her festive name).

fastasleep · 01/12/2004 14:06

motherinfestivemood, that was what i was trying to say! Thankyou!!
