what a fucking waste.

bet someone's doing james dean comparisons already.

there's one in every batch isn't there: really promising, heading to global superstardom....dead young.

bran · 22/01/2008 22:05

How sad. I thought he was very talented, he was great in Brokeback Mountain. I find it dreadfully upsetting when actors die young. Although I know that every young death is a life wasted an actor's death is somehow terribly poignant because they leave behind a constant reminder of what they were and could have been through their films.

Disenchanted · 22/01/2008 22:07

My god, Im really sadened by this.

Has anyone seen '10 things I hate about you'? That was my favourite film for years I mustve watched it 20+ times.

I really liked him

So tragic

kindersurprise · 22/01/2008 22:07

overdose maybe? Or accidental
Waste absolute waste

theyoungvisiter · 22/01/2008 22:09

anyone find it inappropriate that NYPD have allegedly said "possibly drug-related" already? Surely that's for the post-mortem to confirm and his family's business to publicise if they want to?

NorthernLurker · 22/01/2008 22:10

this is so upsetting - his poor family

madrose · 22/01/2008 22:11

shit - am really shocked

TheMuppetMuggle · 22/01/2008 22:11

OMG - that is so sad, i thought he was a fabulous actor. His poor family and young daughter.

misdee · 22/01/2008 22:11

i loved '10 things i hate about you' and wasnt he in 'knights tale' as well?

tiredemma · 22/01/2008 22:12

I loved him in 'Monsters Ball'

he was so handsome.

binkleandflip · 22/01/2008 22:12

I'm guessing the NYPD have seen enough drug-related deaths to hazard an educated guess pre-post mortem but whether they should say that so soon after is questionable.

It is just gutting

Disenchanted · 22/01/2008 22:13

His smile was just gorgeous.

Am seriously sad about this

Mum2b2BabyRoo · 22/01/2008 22:15

Gosh what a shock Shame and he has left a 2 year old DD behind

TheMuppetMuggle · 22/01/2008 22:15

Misdee i thought he was fantastic in 10 things i hate about you and monsters ball.
He had a wonderful smile and gorgeous eyes!!

coby · 22/01/2008 22:15

What a terrible loss, such a great talent. His poor family. Really sad and shocked. He was lovely in 'A Knights Tale'.

Bubble99 · 22/01/2008 22:16

It sounds such a lonely death, too.

serenity · 22/01/2008 22:17

OK, going to be a bit more articulate than my previous post.

I have been a fan of HL for years, he made some of my absolute favourite watch-and-feel-fab films and I can't grasp the fact that someone so young has died It's a bloody waste and I'm so so sad on behalf of his poor fanily and his poor daughter.

Shhhh · 22/01/2008 22:20
