This is so sad. A couple met and married and have discovered they are actually twins who were adopted as babies. They never knew they were adopted or that they had a twin.

I'm surprised that no-one has come out of the woodwork as friend/family of the people involved in this. After all, even if names etc were kept secret, someone must know them, and rarely do these types of stories stay secret - someone always talks, even if it's only to confirm how devostated they were/how it's affected them etc but nothing.

so am starting to be a bit as to whether it really is true.

There's an article now that is casting a lot of doubt on the story: - here in the Guardian
It sounds as though it's been made up to add weight to the calls to put donor info on the birth certificate.

must agree though, I do think that all children, adopted or whatever else, should have the right to have the info on their biological parents...

maybe it is a urban myth after all, but it still could happen....

I said it in an earlier post, what with all teh egg/sperm donation, etc...going on...the possiblity of at least getting married to a biological half sibling is surely more likely, and then there is the lack of morals (;)) that leads to a lot of pg's, guys not even knowing they fathered a child because it was just a one-night-stand, then later they have a family.....etc...it is all more possible...
