JetPeanut · 01/01/2008 14:47

Some people just love to wallow. You can bet your arse that they secretly LOVE to be the first to break sad news. "Ooh did you hear about that awful sad thing that happened..." [accompanied by melodramatic facial expression]. IMO they just LOVE to spread the misery.

Maidamess · 01/01/2008 14:47

Thankyou Cod . Still don't agree with you though!

I'm not a 'gusher' either....but hang on a minute Cod...you are aren't you? I remember a thread about you having a bath and taking on... more water than The Titanic?

Hope I've lowered the tone sufficently.

Vacua · 01/01/2008 14:48

@ whs link: why can't the author put her 'enormous enthusiasm and optimism' into something FUNNY then?

FlllightAttendant · 01/01/2008 14:48

Pointless comment section is good idea.

SantaBabyBeenAnAwfulGoodGirl · 01/01/2008 14:49

feel the sadness, feel it cod, you know you want to, really you do.

FlllightAttendant · 01/01/2008 15:00

Am off to have my chicken pasta bake.

Some people just aren't affected by the sorrows of today.

Vacua · 01/01/2008 15:26

do not WANT to be affected by sorrows tho

why would anyone?

want to be affected by new vibrators or shiny things or a reliable cleaner

suedonim · 01/01/2008 17:06

I found a dead moth behind a chair today. I think that's so sad, on two counts; one: the poor ickle moffy is expired, two: my lack of housekeeping skills have been exposed to the world, because it must have been there since the summer.

Wonder if there's any Misery Book potential there? Waddaythink???

belgo · 01/01/2008 17:23

at suedomin's lack of household skills
and the dead moth. Did it leave a silver residue?

lovecattlearelowing · 01/01/2008 17:40

Some woman with my exact RL maiden name wrote a book last year called something like 'Not the cellar, mummy, no'...

My poor mum... the damn thing was book of the friggin' week in Sainsbos at the time so it was pretty unavoidable - had some interesting phone calls from old friends wondering if it was all true...
