I'd rather not get into another debate on the new thread so have started this one.

So you can now see the emails that have passed between Carrie and I can you?? and our discussion of it?

I asked for my posts to be removed late last night, as I had (as per usual) expressed myself completely incompetently and p*ssed everyone else off with my opinions on the parent bashing that was occuring on that thread.

Carrie removed the personal attacks I had made to others (but left the ones made to me) and said it was up to me if I wanted the other posts deleted or not as (apparently) I made some valid points - think she was just trying to be nice there as no-one else could obviously see any of them.. I said I would rather they all went because of the way the thread had turned out. But this morning she said that she'd leave them as that particular thread appeared to have dropped out of Active Convo's and could be left to die it's natural death.

Added to the fact that I got up several times in the night, and found on another thread deliberate taking the p*ss out of me - and making wild accusations about the topic I "always" post on doesn't exactly fill me with seasonal good cheer.

i didn't read all that thread by the way well only the latter bits as i was bored at 3.00am

i haven't ever read anything where you have been told off for talking about zim

hatrick I only requested MY posts to be removed - I never asked for anyone elses to be removed, it was never part of the discussion between HQ and I.

Am I the only one who thinks there's been far too much manipulation and running to MNHQ to get things deleted, certain posters telling others not to post on one thread but to use another etc etc?
Come on, we're all equal aren't we?? If you want to write a post, think about it carefully, write it, and have the balls to stand by what you said or to admit it if you re-think and change your mind. Is that really so difficult??

I posted a thread the other day, in a differnet name, regreted it after, went and had a mini melt-down, and felt much better for it!

Well of course we all have different moods, and we don't know what frame of mind each person reading our posts is going to be in either. I think a good rule of thumb when posting is to always think 'There could be someone reading this who is personally affected by the issue. There could be someone reading this who is in the throes of depression.' Ask yourself if you're still comfortable to say what you've written. If so, then, no problem. We're all adults - we shouldnt really need external controls to moderate what we write

as an aside - I have seen you mention Zim in some threads - often the ones about immigration and racism because the fact that your husband is from Zim and you have lived there is relevant. But why is it a problem if you mention it even if it isn't relevant? It's not exactly an offensive term is it? People bring in all manner of irrelevancies to their posts and often the same people make the same ponts again and again (including me!).

FFS - what part of "That's what I do/did" don't you understand???? I still stand by (what I badly expressed) in my posts of last night/early this morning - bar the personal attacks I made! God I could spend 3 weeks composing one post - and it still wouldn't express clearly what I want it to say!
