Who watched the fantastic win by the England Rugby team last night.
Can't wait for next weekend. We're on our way on holiday and will be staying in Paris Saturday night so we're really looking forward to the party. DS1 (age5) is very excited because we have flags for the car!!
Anyone else got big plans for the final?

No plans yet but will be doing something,Nim. We were on the edge of our seats last night!! Good old Jonny!

We were staying at my sisters & were trying to get the kids (aged 6,8 10 & 12) to go to bed but they were all so excited they stayed up to the end!

I'd be careful with the England flags in Paris next week though- they're feeling a bit sore & you don't want a brick through your window !

We watched at our local rugby club but ds2 was sick half way through so evening curtailed at the end of the match even though we have great babysitter - it was probably a good thing though because the red wine (medicinal stress relief) was going down far too quickly!!

Oh dear hope he's ok now?

nimnom · 15/10/2007 17:00

Actually, he's got some sort of bug so no more sickness but lots of nappy changes (TMI!!). Just hope the rest of us don't catch it.

Go to be fit for the w/e nimnom!!

When do you go?

nimnom · 15/10/2007 17:59

Early Saturday morning.
We're driving down so should be in Paris for lunch. Our apartment is just round the corner from Hotel de Ville where there's a big screen.
Unfortunately dh has let on to some of his mates so we may have a few big fat rugby players on our floor!!

ADragonIs4LifeNotJustHalloween · 15/10/2007 18:48

What time is kick off?

BellaBear · 15/10/2007 20:11

Dragon - eight o'clock

bossybritches · 15/10/2007 21:32

Actually come to think of it we had a bacon butty party last time-I'm sure it was our yelling & positive thinking that got Jonny in the right frame of mind!!

Off to ring round a few friends...I feel a party coming on!

BecauseImWereWolfit · 15/10/2007 21:37

We go to Barbados on Saturday - arrival time is just one hour before kick-off. DH has already asked me to e-mail our rep to find somewhere for him to watch it!

Hopefully I can watch it too - was in pieces watching it at the weekend.

bossybritches · 16/10/2007 22:13

Er nimnom- I understand Paris is now officially full so stand by to repel boarders form your hotel room!!!

(on the other hand you could sub-let for a fortune & go somewhere VERY plush outside Paris!!)

nimnom · 17/10/2007 09:56

I'm packing the car with barricades as we speak.
As for choosing a plush hotel outsdie Paris - it would be lovely but for the kids and a dh who would sulk!!!

Nimnom - a minor point!!

Hope you have a good w/e!

Melllow normally I'd be the first to agree with you but there's something about the Rubgy World Cup-especially since we weren't supposed to get here that makes me come over all patriotic.

The man at the market on monday told me to F* off when i asked him, genuinely, if they had any South Africa flags.
I then asked if they ahd any Scottish flags, as he had Welsh and Irish ones as well as the English flag, and he told me I was time waster!

Born in Zimbabwe, moved to S.A when I was 4 but have dual nationality, i.e. British & South African.

Sorry, that wasn't really an easy question!
