goodness how sad. and what a shock for her family and friends.

How sad, I love her book and I always quote her life when people slag me off for 'failing' at things - she went bust twice before the body shop and had 3 'failed' businesses.

Thought she was great

BreeVanDerCampLGJ · 10/09/2007 20:54

I withdrew my support for the Body Shop when she sold out to L'oreal. However she was a formidable woman.

Huge sympathy to her family.

WelshBoris · 10/09/2007 20:54

Wow!

how sad

bookthief · 10/09/2007 20:55

Very sad. She was one of those people who seemed to live every minute to the full. 64 is far too young.

NDPHasAKittenOnTheKeyboard · 10/09/2007 20:56

Me too, LGJ.

Selling to L'Oreal was such a bizarre move (aside from the financial gains, obv)

woodenchair · 10/09/2007 20:59

That's sad. She made a big impact. 64 is too young

lou33 · 10/09/2007 20:59

Now that IS a shock. And what's more, I'd never have guessed she was 64. Bodyshop products must be good.

dinny · 10/09/2007 21:16

very sad - also amazed she was 64!

Piffle · 10/09/2007 21:25

Oh how sad, after her battle with hep c and all the good work she did.

Budababe · 10/09/2007 21:43
