OMG, Kate McCann is expected to be formally declared as a SUSPECT???!!!

I was watching the news last night re Kate McCanns requestioning by the Portuguese Police. I have updated on the events this morning and it appears she will be declared as a SUSPECT today. Im shocked about this, what do you all think? Surely she didnt have anything to do with it?

Yes, and it's alarming that the papers will write stuff that isn't fact, too.
Peoples lives are at stake.
If the portugse papers say something the papers here say 'oh it was reported in the portugese papers that this happened' and the the portugese papers say 'oh the British press say...' and it gets taken as gospel when it gets translated back again, because the british press said so!!

9 adults 8 children in the party
maddie is the oldest
all these put to bed before 7.30 each night and are fast asleep in time to allow all their parents to go out.
parents go out every night and refuse any assistance offered by Mark Warner but rely on "regular" checks

surley you would not find more than one set of parents in a small group of friends who were irresponsible enough to do this.

dellgirl how can you differentiate between blood from a live body & a cadaver.

my understanding is that cadavers don't bleed, would it be purely a question of distribution pattern?

yes but I work in hospitals and I don't think anti-histamines like phenagen can cause overdose because they use them to knock children out for all sorts of procedures enough to make them really unconscious for hours. But i am not a doctor or a nurse.

They must be better at getting children to sleep more soundly than i am though!

yes 9 adults 8 children maddie at nearly 4 was the oldest all left by their parents , most of whom are doctors every night.

i know i will get slated for saying this but what kind of people are they??

it makes you wonder if the other parents are maybe backing them up a bit to much to ease there own guilt

So all the party travelling with the Mccans had kids and left them unattended every night? I had no idea- I thought the Mccans were the only one's with kids.

Maybe Doctors are selfish you know whats.

god,i really feel for this poor family. I do believe they are being set up.

Kate McCann's mother is quoted as saying she believes there is something untoward about the police investigation and that so called evidence may have been planted in the hire car.

Police are said to believe that Madeleine's body was hidden, moved, then hidden again.

How? It just doesn't add up. No way.

Why couldn't they use babysitters that come to the appartment?

Please could someone tell me the name of the sedative that you get on prescription for children on long flights? That puts them to sleep so they are sleepy on the flight.

Thats ok , sorry I came across as harsh.

My friend had real problems with her dd's sleep and was prescribed that. It may have been a similar situation for their children. Does anyone know why they had it? Or maybe they had taken it on holiday so they could ensure the kids slept in the evnings. I hope not

I really dont feel that they had anything to do with it. Well thats my hope anyway.
