OMG, Kate McCann is expected to be formally declared as a SUSPECT???!!!

I was watching the news last night re Kate McCanns requestioning by the Portuguese Police. I have updated on the events this morning and it appears she will be declared as a SUSPECT today. Im shocked about this, what do you all think? Surely she didnt have anything to do with it?

Think the money should of been spent on private detectives from day 1. And charity yes.

Do you mean mitochondrial DNA? And how exactly would finding DNA that could equally be Madeleine's or Kate's help to convict Kate?

Siblings don't have the same DNA (even if for all of them is half from mother and half from the father) except for identical twins, so they can easily determine if the DNA is from madeleine or not

i hope that (heaven forbid, but looking more likely) if the McCanns DID have anything to do with it (and i am still hoping they didn't) the fund is suitably donated to worthwhile causes- not used to pay any legal bills etc.

A child's DNA is not the result of their parents 2 halves put together side by side, it's all mixed. It's not like the nose the ears and the lips are the father's and the eyes, cheeks and hair is the mothers, For each gene, for each trait there's half from the father and half from the mother. So there's no risk that if only a bit of DNA is found it can be mistaken for the mother's because it is 'that half', iyswim.

I am shocked at the amount of money

I think morally it should be given to charity rather than pay legal expenses and hotel bills etc.

Over 500 posts, can't possibly read. Sure you've covered this, but she was released last night as a suspect, is that right? But was allowed to leave with her husband who was taken in for questioning today. Isn't that a bit odd?
