expatinscotland · 07/09/2007 11:50

Bleach smells like the vile chemical cocktail it is.

Yuk.

expatinscotland · 07/09/2007 11:51

Use a Prices' chef's candle, cod, rather than one of those manky plug-ins.

expatinscotland · 07/09/2007 11:51

Or open a window!

TigerFeet · 07/09/2007 11:52

ugh, air fresheners

if your house smells bad, open a window ffs

or wash a bit more often

DrNortherner · 07/09/2007 11:52

Cod weave yourself a wicker smell dispenser full of old rags (use your boys old pants) infused with honeysuckle, lavender and egg white.

pooka · 07/09/2007 11:52

Egg white?

Give it time, cod. the smell will dissipate.

pooka · 07/09/2007 11:54

Bless our cooker hood. Really does the trick with fishy smells.

DrNortherner · 07/09/2007 11:54

Yes we have an extraction system too.

Wonder if Marco lights a chefs candle after service?

SueBaroo · 07/09/2007 11:54

Ooh - yankee candles. The clean linen one does smell rather nice. But only in small doses - bought fab hoover things you bung in your empty hoover bag and then when you hoover the room smells not of old woman and old people's homes but of how I wish my clean laundry would smell.

RTKangaMummy · 07/09/2007 11:57

My bro used to work in fish & chip shop as a teenager and my mum used to make him undress as soon as he came home and send him for a shower

pooka · 07/09/2007 11:58

God am not surprised! Bleurgh.

expatinscotland · 07/09/2007 11:58

I don't mind that frying smell.

But I don't fry things in general because I don't like spattering grease.

Botbot · 07/09/2007 11:58

I used to use talc instead of shake 'n' vac.

Same difference.

pooka · 07/09/2007 11:58

When was a student worked in a caff doing breakfasts. Uswed to get home looking all shiny.

Peachy · 07/09/2007 12:15

I think IF it goes to court I will amke a decision based on the evidence as to whether the woman is guilty or not- not entirely sure I have much faith in the POrtugese justice system though, they've been 'announcing and imminent arrest' for weeks- amkes yu wonder how much is desperation, also how much is related to the fact that the mcCann's house lease in Portugal runs out eventually.

I hope to god she isn't guilty, for the sake of the twins who need their Mohter. I hope to god as well that whoever is guilty is brought to justice. And that this is done correctly, with no awful tragedies of miscarriages of justice.

I dont see how much we can say beyond that tbh, she ahsnt been charged yet
