Think Meghan particularly found fitting into the RF difficult think she only has one point of reference - celebrity status, crucial difference between celebs and the RF in that the latter are funded by the taxpayer, and therefore people expect them to promote the UK businesses, charities and good causes. Therefore they have a public duty, I would say the British public would respect their rights to privacy, but the ridiculous amount of "secrecy" demanded is ridiculous. Not being allowed to take photographs of the Duchess, appearing in a private capacity at Wimbledon, the lectures on the planet, followed by the hypocrisy of a significant number of short haul flights, but the stating about having a tough time, when you have been amongst the worlds' poorest, crap timing at best, entitled, shallow and self-centred at worst.
Thought they would have given a bit of thought to the announcement and discussed this with the rest of their family given the other pressures they face at present, (re; Andrew and Philip) feel their behaviour smacks of narcissism, shame, think they could have been a real asset, especially having a black woman in the RF, would have made them feel more relevant. Meghan has stated she doesn't want to be a "voiceless figurehead" unfortunately, that can seem, what it may be, but giving support to organisations, being a neutral figurehead for diplomatic relations, when there are international tensions can be incredibly beneficial to the UK.
Now they want to live in Canada, sad that they do, but not sure how this will work being part of the RF, oh and please could they donate the cost of their wedding and Frogmore cottage back to worthwhile causes in the UK, before they piss off??
