What fantastic news that after over a hundered days in captivity this man is now released and back with his family. I have to admit that last week I was worried for his life after seeing him on the news with explosives attatched to a belt around his waist. His family must be over the moon and it goes to show that miracles do happen! For once a good bit of news this week with a happy ending.

This is such wonderful news, I've been bouncing around ever since I heard last night

Spider · 04/07/2007 21:18

I was so relieved to hear this. What amazing news for his parents. I've been haunted by the posters of him up at work and really hoping for this news.

Blu · 04/07/2007 22:37

It's brilliant news.
Not just because he's free, but because of teh potential for the powers that be to now talk with Hamas.
Well done Hamas for making it happen!

KbearBrockovich · 04/07/2007 22:43

I was really happy when I saw this early this morning. It's a good day.

Spider · 04/07/2007 22:48

I had a strange thing at work. His poster has been staring at me while I work for, well, eight weeks now. On Monday night I suddenly thought, 'I can't bear the powerlessness. I'm going to do something. It's too upsetting to just have him looking out of that poster and do nothing'. So every time I passed the poster (when I went to make tea or go to the loo) I put my hand on his cheek and sort of sent him positive vibes - a little non Christian prayer if you like.

I know it sounds like a load of wank, but I felt elated and just a teeny bit psychic when he was released within a few hours of that.

TaylorsMummy · 07/07/2007 22:50

looks lovely, what a place to come home to! He hadn't seen the sun for 2 months

Piffle · 07/07/2007 22:55

expat I'm so glad you're moving, are you thrilled?

expatinscotland · 08/07/2007 00:13

Yes, Piffle. More than words can say!

I have moved around in life. Many times. I think maybe this will always be the case for me.

But I can say, having done this time and again, that once I am done with a place, I am truly done with it.

And this is well over.
