I have joined this site solely to remind all you thoughtless, forgetful, selfish ba#@ards that Madeleine McCann is missing!!!!!!!! I cannot understand how anyone can sit with their arms around their own children, in the comfort of a cinema whilst feeding their children popcorn and Coke that there are lots of mothers in this world who cannot do this. Their children have been taken from them and I wonder if any of you had the money or the resources available to them, I wonder if you would have campaigned this long or this hard for their daughters return. I wish the McCanns every success and only wish I could physically find their daughter for them. I am taking my 6 kids to see Shrek tomorrow and I hope my cinema is still showing the Madeleine film. I hope the publicity generated stays in your faces for a long time to come. Tell me, if she passed in front of you down at the shops or at the park could any of you be bothered to actually tell someone. Or are you all just to happy in the knowledge that its not one of your children. There but for the grace of God............

I wonder if they are going to start showing videos/Adverts of all the other missing children also? The ones with poor parents who can't afford a world wide awareness campaign.

Of course we feel for the McCanns, we don't have hearts on stone, but some of us chose not to tell our children that a little girl went missing from her bed whilst she slept... it might just frighten them.... then to have this thrust in their innocent little faces without the permission of their parents & without it being properly explained, irks a little.

No-one here should be ashamed of themselves, we are all just parents, trying to do our best for our children, whatever way we decide to do it, it is our best.

Whom would you prefer to sleep with .....[boak])

Bigthingywoman - you didn't make me laugh, you made me fucking livid.

The coke thing was quite funny though.

Greeny, you saying my post rocks was like a blessing from the pope!...been lurking on the smacking thread and I'm loving your work...

K, flavoured vodkas are dead simple, folks, and they make good gifts.

The best bit is that you have to taste it before you give it away and consume all 'bad' batches yourself .

For that extra panache, and to appeal to the greener types, shop for glass decanter bottles in charity shops. I collect them throughout the year and tie them with a tartan ribbon for that extra naff factor that only a Yank can have.

If you're doing berry vodka, it's 3-4 cups of berries, washed, in a glass canister you can close well. I use a pasta jar. Pour 1.5-1.75ltr of vodka over the berries.

Sit the canister in a cool, dry place - an airing cupboard, for ex. and shake it up or stir it daily for 3-4 weeks. Taste, taste, taste!

Then strain the vodka into a decanter.

You can use the berries with ice cream to make a decadent dessert!

For lemon voddy, just peel an entire lemon - NO WHITE PITH! and pour the voddy over that.

Voila!

Xmas made easy (and drunk)!

I just keep thinking about the horror of DD on coke... then DD on coke during a film!

expatinscotland · 03/07/2007 16:28

It's actually 'Whom', Waynetta, as in 'I find him fanciable.' The pronoun gives it away, IIRC.

WaynettaWiggumSpice · 03/07/2007 16:29

Interesting Expat - hmmmmmmm.....must re-think this.....

hippipotami · 03/07/2007 16:29

expatinscotland · 03/07/2007 16:30

I'm all chuffed about my voddies.

Got some brandy, too, to start soaking some mixed peel.

expatinscotland · 03/07/2007 16:30
