I have joined this site solely to remind all you thoughtless, forgetful, selfish ba#@ards that Madeleine McCann is missing!!!!!!!! I cannot understand how anyone can sit with their arms around their own children, in the comfort of a cinema whilst feeding their children popcorn and Coke that there are lots of mothers in this world who cannot do this. Their children have been taken from them and I wonder if any of you had the money or the resources available to them, I wonder if you would have campaigned this long or this hard for their daughters return. I wish the McCanns every success and only wish I could physically find their daughter for them. I am taking my 6 kids to see Shrek tomorrow and I hope my cinema is still showing the Madeleine film. I hope the publicity generated stays in your faces for a long time to come. Tell me, if she passed in front of you down at the shops or at the park could any of you be bothered to actually tell someone. Or are you all just to happy in the knowledge that its not one of your children. There but for the grace of God............

The peel, hippi. Sorry.

ONLY the peel.

Some folks make fancy curls out of the peel, but I just use an ordinary peeler and get long strips of peel.

Bigamy your post makes very little sense, shows an amazing lack of basic comprehension and logic skills.

Greeny - to break it down, bigamy says

We're all selfish bastards
We don't care
Bigamy cares
Bigamy wishes she could find M herself.
She thinks if we saw M, none of us could be bothered to do anything.

It cost me £20 for me and dd to go to cinema to see Shrek the other day AND you're not allowed to take you're own food and rink in.

Lol lol @ this thread.

and with a serious answer to the OP. I don't object to it being rammed down my throat as such but I do very strongly object to it being rammed down my 5YOs throat without so much as a warning. I want to protect my child from the horrors of the world as much as I can. She;s no need to be aware of such things at such a young age

I use my big, fake Louis Vuitton handbag anytime I go to cinema to stash all my food.

Movie popcorn is vile and it's not white kernals, anyway.

And the chocolate isn't fairtrade, either.

I am sure that Bigmamie cares so much that if she saw a girl who looked even a little bit like Madeleine, or one who had the same name, she would report it.

Oh you mean like the lady who saw Misdee's dd3 in Ikea, and said she looked like Madeleine, and was staring into her eyes, and even said Misdee's Dd3 was big for 2!!! FFS she is tiny!!! And looks nothing like Madeleine

Bigmamie , some of us can't afford to take our kids to the cinema. So you not only come on here and call us thoughtless, forgetful, selfish ba#@ards , you have to tell us how loaded you are.

Now rung along. You know nothing about mumsnet.

Surely though, unless they have big signs up saying "Those who bring in their own food shall be subjected to hours of a Catherine Zeta Jones film of our choice as punishment" then they can't do anything if you take your own food in.
Or am I just being dim?

I commented on that thread as someone close to me had thier 5 year old DS react badly to hearing a little girl had been taken from her bed.

With all my heart I hope that Maddie is returned to her family and soon. I wear a yellow ribbon on my bag to serve as a reminder to anyone who sees it that there is still a little girl - nay many little girls, and boys missing from thier families.

Just because we dont want to scare our own children about the horrors that can and do happen, doesnt mean we dont care and would'nt do all we could if it would bring her back to her parents.

Gosh I always take my own food and drink into the cinema! Always. It never occurred to me to buy anything from a cinema. Cinemas are full of fruit shoots and fizzy drinks and that popcorn which they make specially so that the smell grabs you by the throat.

Clearly the op hasn't got half a brain and so cannot fully understand why some people don't want to worry their own children unnecessarily. Yes we all hope Madeleine is ok but that doesn't mean we want our own children living in fear.

Why don't you fuck off back to wherever you came from now and take your fucking high horse with you.

Report
edam · 03/07/2007 16:55

I think the OP is a bit hard of thinking, tbh, and finds it difficult to follow a simple bit of reasoning, e.g. 'everyone wants Madeleine to be found but terrifying the life out of very small children will not help at all'.

MN probably not the site for her...
