Just read this on MSN. Apparently he has 'no comeent'funny he had plenty to say before.

OP posts:

I would have taken extra precautions if I did not want to be associated with him for the rest of my life but I'm sensible and would not have dated him in the first place.

couldnt agree more with aloha

Aloha · 25/06/2007 14:52

God, I wish I could say I'd only ever slept with thoroughly respectable father material!
I did only marry that sort though!

speedymama · 25/06/2007 14:53

Ahem. I did and I married him.

meandmyflyingmachine · 25/06/2007 14:55

Hells bells. You have sex, you risk conceiving a child. You want to minimise the risk - you use a contraceptive.

But you also accept you are only minimising the risk.

You make a baby - you accept the consequences.

meandmyflyingmachine · 25/06/2007 14:57

Grrr at the 'women with ulterior motives' subtext from some posters.

expatinscotland · 25/06/2007 14:59

How about him then?

If HE didn't want to father anymore children - sounds like he's got his hands full already - then why didn't he use 'extra precautions' or get a vasectomy?

meandmyflyingmachine · 25/06/2007 15:01

Sorry - my rant was addressed to all the helpless men in the face of voracious baby- and child-support-hungry females.

So I agree with you...

paulaplumpbottom · 25/06/2007 15:02

I bet he feels like an ass now

speedymama · 25/06/2007 15:03

Because he is a numpty - that is obvious.

Also, as a woman, no way would I leave the responsibility of that to a man because it would be me left holding the baby, not the man.

pagwatch · 25/06/2007 15:13

speedymama · 25/06/2007 15:23

Sorry, I'm still lost. I'm not an avid consumer of sleb culture

expatinscotland · 25/06/2007 15:25

Speedy it's a reference to his role in Shrek - he's the voice of the donkey/ass.

speedymama · 25/06/2007 15:28

Oh. I've not seen the film.

Thanks

nightowl · 25/06/2007 15:39

some not very nice comments on this thread!

we dont know the circumstances surrounding the child's conception. so what if it was "an accident"? plenty of children are "accidentally" conceived within marriage, out of marriage, contraception fails, children are planned and then the father buggers off or relationships fail etc etc.

her baby's father dumped her very publicly and completely humiliated her. yes, she's a real bitch that lady!

and her last child was with her ex husband who was apparently sponging off her.

speedymama · 25/06/2007 15:49

Why call her ex a sponger if you object to the way she has been portrayed?

nightowl · 25/06/2007 15:54

i didnt call her ex a sponger. i said he was apparently sponging off her, as reported in the news.

withoutdaddy · 25/06/2007 15:59

have changed my name to post (for obvious reasons) i was with my partner for just over two years when i accidently fell pregnant. he was pleased as punch but a five months gone he left me for someone else. i couldnt contact him when my dd was born so i went to the csa. they traced him and he denied paternity. we had to go through dna tests. i can tell you now that, for me, it was the most humiliating experience of my life and im not even in the public eye. but for liz hurley and mel b it must have been awful. they were both pregnant when these bastards did this to them. i truly hope they fleece them for every bloody penny! men can humiliate women by doing this but the women cant deny they are the mothers can they?

speedymama · 25/06/2007 16:00

That's the dichotomy though isn't it. If the wealthy partner is a woman, questions are raised about a man's claims. If the wealthy partner is a man, the same does not apply, especially when children are involved. Women married to rich men do better in the divorce settlement than men married to rich women, as far as I can see.

Withoutdaddy, that is truly awful.
