If you can do ONE thing to protect children

have a look here

If you want to do ONE thing to protect children (and it really will), buy only fair trade chocolate, or that on the 'good chocolate guide' here. This is a concrete thing you can do which WILL help protect children.

I don't want this to be another of 'those' threads, but it seems we all want to protect children and this is a really easy thing we can all do. Read the webpage, and have a think. It will make a difference to children!

I don't normall send mass emails to everyone in my contacts book, but have alerted several people to this. Who have been horrified, obviously, and say they are going to switch to Fairtrade, hurrah!

my dad was organising a FairTrade market stall back in the 80's at his church [smug emoticon]

I will see if that is something our diocese could do as well! Maybe our bishop will approve...

Our church uses fairtrade stuff for after the serivces. AND

every two week they have a stall selling FT produce...

They have been doing it for years, first place I had seen it, so really good to see it so available in shops now..

Good post..

Thank you for this wonderful and humbling thread tortoiseShell

Tearfund, a global action charity, has been selling fairtrade gifts via Tearcraft for over 30 years.

Also you can read testimonies here of the difference Fairtrade makes to communities.
