Madeleine McCann - we need YOUR help to try and find this little girl.

This is slipping from the news and the police are starting to scale down their seraches.

Evidence seems to suggest that Madeline may have been taken to Spain and yet very few people out there are aware of what has happened or what she looks like etc.

We need to send as many emails as we can to Spanish businesses with a poster attachment and highlight this case.

I need mumsnetters to volunteer.

I have called in sick today to get this started but this is a massive task and I cannot do it on my own.

Please let me know if you can help.

Can our MEPs be of any use in this?

If anyone knows our soon to be first lady Sarah Brown. Understand that she does some very good work for child charities. And her husband is passionate about child issues. Am thinking that she could provide some good profile and moral support for the McCann family if someone could nudge her.

Ok I have emailed some major UK and european hauliers asking them for their help. ALso emailed some coach companies that work for holiday companies and so go to Europe alot. Also sent an email to UEFA (although I'm sure they are already doing something as Beckham and the other chap have made appeals) asking them to help too!!

See below from friend in Spain. Tells us that coverage is getting through. Also that we should be sensitive to remind people that we acknowledge that BRITISH paedophiles could be behind this:

Have been onto SNCF, French railway company asking them to put up posters but I don't understand enough Spanish to navigate through the Spanish equivalent!

I have emailed the poster to everyone I know, mostly in Australian, which is an unlikely place for Madeleine to be, but you never know do you.

Is there anything else I can do? I don't have any European contacts at all, except for one friend in France, who I have emailed.

what a about contacting the British Consulates in Spain.

Although they are closed at the weekends there is always an emergency mobile number you can call.

I have just seen BBC News 24 and Madeleines uncle and a family friend were being interviewed after attending a service for her in glasgow. The uncle said he had just spoken to the family and the support and response they had received across Europe was keeping them going. Im sure campaigns like this will get back to them and at least make them feel that people care and are actively trying to help.

He also said that they were hoping to get Terry Wogan to mention it on Eurovision tomorrow and get her photo shown. Lets hope that hapens.

ah toughDaddy you probably know of the company my dh works for then as he works for a company who have some connection with those that are into playing with other peoples' money .

Have just been talking to my dh about this and he has pointed out one thing that might go against us.

If we're emailing companies, i.e. boss of bank etc, most companies have spam filters that simply wouldn't let this kind of email through. not sure how we get round that.
