I think my heart missed a beat when I read the title. My parents live in Leicester. Fortunately it's not near them. Phew. I hope no one is seriously injured.

looking at the pic, it appears to be one building in a row that has been destroyed, including the roof and front and back walls, and the adjacent buildings standing.

I know nothing about explosives, but this is often how a gas explosion looks.

It’s why when people want my dad or his employees to cut corners/commission other people’s installations etc he says it’s my/their name on the certificate & if we don’t do things right someone could die & he refuses to even if he loses work.

Sadly four confirmed dead.

Brokenbiscuit · 26/02/2018 08:29

That's very sad.

I've apologised to the OP, my post was unwarranted.

Northern well, you can be as ‘fed up’ of it as you like & you can report it if you like (but it’s no wonder MNHQ struggle to engage as well in the process as they used to, if they’re getting reports about minor stuff like this) but you’re not the Thread Police & your comment to the OP was unnecessary. As was your comment about it ‘not being news’. Of course it’s ‘news’ when it’s ON THE NEWS.
