Met Office Warning Of Heavy Snow Thursday March 15, 04:07 PM

The Met Office has issued a warning that heavy snow falls are on the way for parts of the UK, starting on Sunday and persisting until the middle of next week. The blizzards will be driven across the country by cold northerly winds and disruption to roads, rail and air travel is likely.

The first significant snowfalls are expected overnight on Sunday and during Monday.

Yes, I do recall. It did. There was thunder and lightening in the early hours (I gave birth in the early hours), then there was hale, then snow for about 2 hours. Then in the afternoon a rainbow and bright sunshine.

It was the weirdest weather day ever. We thought that DD's birth had signalled an apocolypse (Of course, that didnt happen until DS was born )

I love the snow. I really miss it - when I was a child we got FEET of it and used to have to dig our road out each morning. We always used to believe the people in the south were really wimpy for being disrupted by half a centimetre of it, when we'd had 3 feet! I've got some fantastic film of our car buried in snow.
